Odyssey is a 40-metre wooden yacht purpose-built for diving in Egypt’s Red Sea, accommodating up to 26 guests in 13 air-conditioned cabins. The vessel combines European design with spacious decks and shared indoor and outdoor areas.

Boat Interior

An indoor lounge provides a sheltered place to gather between dives, while the upper deck features a Jacuzzi for unwinding after time in the water. The sun deck includes both shaded and sunny areas for spending time outdoors.

Meals are served buffet-style and prepared onboard by the chef, combining international cuisine with local flavours. Wi-Fi is available when the vessel is close to shore, but satellite internet is not provided.

Cabin Types

Odyssey has 13 air-conditioned cabins spread across the lower, main, and upper decks, all with private bathrooms. Twin, double, and double/triple layouts are available, with accommodation for two or three guests depending on the cabin category.

The lower deck features seven Twin Bed Cabins, each furnished with two single beds. An additional Twin Cabin on the upper deck offers the same layout.

On the main deck, two Double Bed Cabins are equipped with one double bed, while two Double + Twin Bed Cabins combine one double bed and one single bed for up to three guests. The upper deck also includes one Double/Triple Cabin with the same bedding arrangement for three guests.


Dive Deck

The large dive deck includes personal gear stations, rinse tanks, and a dedicated camera area. Complimentary Nitrox is available for certified divers.

All dives are conducted from two dedicated zodiacs, which handle transfers between the vessel and dive sites throughout the day. The standard ratio is one guide for every ten divers, with guides speaking English, French, and Arabic. Private guiding for up to four divers can be arranged for an additional charge.

Safety and Navigation

Odyssey carries life rafts, life jackets, emergency oxygen, a first-aid kit, a defibrillator, fire extinguishers, and fire-detection equipment. Navigation and communication systems include GPS, VHF and HF radio, satellite communications, and distress systems.

Itineraries

Odyssey operates three principal routes across Egypt’s Red Sea. The Brothers, Daedalus and Elphinstone itinerary explores offshore marine parks associated with pelagic diving, while the St. John’s, Rocky and Zabargad route covers reefs and islands in the southern Red Sea.

The Northern Wrecks and Reefs itinerary includes sites such as Thistlegorm, Dunraven, Ras Mohammed, and the Tiran Straits. Depending on the route, diving may feature coral gardens, walls, schooling jacks, turtles, dolphins, and oceanic whitetip sharks.

A dedicated camera area on the dive deck provides a designated place for preparing underwater photography equipment between dives

Spent the week of March 11th 2023 onboard the Odyssey. Had a lovely time! Crew and dive guides were great. Food was fresh, lots of variety, catered to specific needs. Wifi does not really work (we were able to be connected on and off for maybe 2 days out of the week). I didn’t know this boat was owned by a French company, so almost all of the guests were from France and staff spoke mostly French and Arabic. Boat is comfortable and spacious, but could use a bit of touch ups here and there. We did 3 dives a day and everything was very well organized and safe. Big shoutout to Migo the dive guide!

Fantastic boat and diving!
Ive got nothing bad to say about our trip. The boat is fabulous, the dive guides are great, the diving... amazing! The food is fantastic. The rooms are made every morning, I got help getting kitted up, got help getting out of the water, help opening my wine, they just cant do enough for you. Thank you for such an amazing trip, we will be back! Xxx

Program

Historic northern wrecks with coral-encrusted holds and rails
Brothers’ steep walls with soft corals and gorgonians
Plateaus attracting hammerheads, oceanic whitetips, and gray reef sharks
Safaga fringing reefs with table corals and anthias

Day 1: 
Meet & greet at the airport. Group transfer to the port. Onboarding, meeting the crew & briefing. 

Days 2-7: 
Departing & check dive. Safari according to the planned route. 

Day 8: 
Check-out from the yacht, group transfer to the airport. 

Routes can be affected by adverse weather conditions and unforeseen events, force majeure or other similar reasons (Please note that night dives are not allowed in Marine Parks)

Departure
  • Arrival at the Hurghada International Airport.
  • You will be greeted in the Arrival Hall by the boat's representative with the sign «Seafari».
  • Transfer on board, check-in from 18:00
Return
  • Check out around 8:00 after breakfast.
  • You will be transported to the airport
