Snefro Spirit is a Red Sea liveaboard operating diving cruises in Egypt. The vessel provides onboard accommodation and facilities for multi-day diving safaris, visiting established dive sites across the region, including coral reefs and wreck locations. Diving is guided by an onboard dive team and follows a scheduled daily diving programme.

Boat Interior

The Snefro Spirit Egypt liveaboard offers comfort and practical design. The main deck salon and restaurant are air-conditioned and furnished with plush sofas and polished wood flooring, creating welcoming spaces for relaxation or socializing.

Modern entertainment equipment, including a large flat-screen TV with DVD/CD player, as well as board games, books, and magazines, is available on board.

Two sun decks, partly shaded or open, including bars, offer spaces to relax between dives or enjoy the sunset over the Red Sea. Wi-Fi is available free of charge, dependent on mobile coverage.

The onboard chefs prepare buffet-style meals combining local Egyptian flavors and international cuisine. Between dives, snacks, fruit, tea, coffee, water, and soft drinks are provided throughout the day.

Dive Deck

The dive deck is spacious, with fresh-water showers, two bathrooms, individual dive lockers, and ample room for gearing up. Two Bauer compressors and the Nitrox system operate quietly below deck, with Nitrox free of charge for certified divers.

The dive platform and gear storage area are designed to support smooth and efficient dive operations throughout the day.

Safety

For guest safety, Snefro Spirit is equipped with life jackets, life rafts (2 x 25-person), fire extinguishers, smoke detectors, fire alarms, first aid kit, and oxygen (demand & free flow). The cabin deck features an emergency exit at the front of the vessel. Navigation systems include GPS, chart plotter, radar, echo sounder, EPIRB, and VHF radio, all meeting international standards. ISO certification and Chamber of Diving and Watersports membership ensure compliance with best-practice diving protocols.

Itineraries

Departing from Sharm El Sheikh (New Marina, El Wataneya), the Snefro Spirit Egypt liveaboard cruises to the Red Sea’s top dive destinations. Mini Safaris to Tiran, Ras Mohamed, or Dahab include dives at banana reef, finger reefs, sand banks, and historic wrecks, with reef sharks, turtles, eagle rays, and colorful marine life.

Longer itineraries, such as the Sinai Classic, Sinai Wreck & Reef, and Deep North Marine Park, feature abundant dive sites, offshore seamounts, mystical wrecks, and macro life, offering a full diving holiday experience.

When to Go

The Snefro Spirit liveaboard operates in the Red Sea, where diving conditions remain favourable throughout much of the year. Water temperatures typically range from 22–28°C, creating comfortable conditions for diving across most seasons.

Spring (March–May) and autumn (September–November) are widely regarded as the most favourable periods, offering calmer seas, strong visibility, and active marine life across the region’s coral reefs and wreck sites. Summer brings warmer waters and increased encounters with pelagic species, while winter often delivers quieter dive sites and crisp underwater visibility along Egypt’s Sinai coastline.

Fun and friendly
This was my second liveabiard in total. The quality if the boat was a high level and the crew work hard to keep it clean and tidy. We explored some really interesting sites with sometimes chalenging conditions, the dive guides made sure that the breifing always covered all required details and made sure that everyone was comfortable with the plan for the dive. The food was great and there was always plenty to go around. The team were very attentive with kit and tanks, with a really good team to help gear up and gear down. I will hopefully dive again with King Snefro Fleet

Program

Resident leopard sharks
The historical wreck
Channels and reefs
Schools of fish

Day 1:
Meet & greet at the airport. Group transfer to the port. Onboarding, meeting the crew & briefing.

Day 2:
Early morning check dive at Temple or Ras Katy. Next dive is Jackfish Alley where you can easily enter the small caves there. The third dive will be the Alternatives, a chain of seven pinnacles with numerous sand patches and resident leopard sharks. Night diving is very popular here.

Day 3:
Very early morning the boat will sail to the wreck of the Thistlegorm, the most famous of the Red Sea wrecks, maybe even worldwide. There is so much to explore so the plan is a minimum of two dives. The first one is an orientation of the outside and the second dive a penetrating one. For the third dive your boat will sail to Small Passage where two channels cut the reef system of Shaab Mahmoud and connect the sheltered lagoon to the open sea. A night dive inside the lagoon is optional.

Day 4:
First dive of the day will take you to the historical wreck of the Dunraven, which sank in April 1876 - an old wooden wreck with plenty of room for passing through thousands of glass fish that live here in the shade of the wreck. Next dive is Shark and Yolanda Reef, the southernmost tip of the Sinai Peninsula with an endless wall unique in the Red Sea. Sailing back towards Sharm for your third dive at Ras Zatar, Ras Ghazlani or may be in Ras Um Sid. Return to New Marina (El Wataneya) port and disembark.
