This liveaboard features a friendly and attentive crew, always on hand to assist, enhancing the experience with their exceptional service. The thoughtful separation of common spaces from the living area is particularly appreciated for relaxation after a day of diving, ensuring peace and comfort. Offering free Nitrox, this vessel includes the most iconic dive spots in its itineraries, allowing visitors to explore the Marine Parks of the Red Sea or dive its famous wrecks.

Boat Interior and Exterior

The liveaboard accommodates up to 20 passengers in 10 cabins, each equipped with air conditioning and en-suite bathrooms. Six cabins with side-by-side beds are located on the lower deck, while the upper deck houses 2 twin cabins and 2 double bed cabins. The spacious lounge area, distinct from the living quarters, allows guests to unwind comfortably, regardless of the late-night activities at the boat's bar. Additionally, there are 2 shaded sundecks, one featuring a cozy lounge area with tables, chairs, and a bar.

Dive Deck

Equipped with a Nitrox membrane filling system, this liveaboard offers Nitrox at no extra charge to certified divers. It also features two Bauer Mariner compressors with a 200 lt/min capacity. Two zodiacs are available to transport divers to various dive sites efficiently, ensuring a seamless diving experience on your liveaboard diving cruise.

Safety

The vessel is fully equipped with all necessary safety gear, including life jackets, life rafts, fire alarms, oxygen, and first aid kits, ensuring a secure diving adventure.

Itinerary

The itineraries cover Egypt's most renowned dive sites, such as the Brothers, Daedalus, and Elphinstone, along with the northern wrecks. Divers can explore the Abu Nuhas ship cemetery, encounter various shark species, and admire the vibrant fish and coral diversity. The coral reefs, both soft and hard, adorn the walls and reefs, providing a stunning backdrop for underwater exploration.

When to Go

The optimal season for Northern itineraries runs from April to November, with May and June offering higher chances to see mantas and whale sharks, despite slightly reduced visibility due to plankton. From June to August, divers can witness large fish and schools of pelagic fish. The central dive sites, like the Brother Islands, and Southern itineraries are best visited in spring (late March to May) or fall (September to November). Deeper dives are recommended from June to September for sightings of larger fish

Good experience at Discovery IVerified review
The whole crew of Discovery I is absolutely amazing, helping you at all times. Food went beyond all expectations. Sadly wind was too strong and it was not possible for us to reach Brothers or Elphistone. I think there is a bit of misinformation regarding equipment rental as some extras (as SMB in general or torch for night dive) are required to be able to dive at all and it should be better stated when booking. Also some extras like boots are not stated at all and charged at the end, so I recommend to take your own. Overall the experience was great!

good value for moneyVerified review
It's a pleasant journey. The cabin and deck are clean and tidy, and the crew cleaned them all the time. Diving guides are strict, but kind. However, there are only 2 dive guides for 20+ divers, there is nothing more they can do other thank keep our safety, and you need to find the beauty of underwater by yourself. Food tastes good and menu changed almost every day. but for a Chinese, it's impossible to have western breakfast for a week, so i ate fruit only the latter days. We saw a thresher shark, a hammerhead shark, some dolphins, some turtles, overall a little bit disappointed.
