4.5
Intimate and friendly boat with great crew and food Verified review
Emperor Asmaa is a great boat for a close and intimate group of just 20 divers. Which means you get to know all the crew and dive guides personally, as they do you. You also get to know all the other guests well and become a close team. The food was excellent and truly amazing. A great trip and experience.

The most amazing company
I have been on 3 other live aboard trips and this was amazing .The crew was !st class the food was incredible 5 star Michelin . I was completely overwhelmed by the quality of food and put on a few pounds. I was so happy to see that the guides were so protective of the reefs even going so far as to banning someone that had a camera but had terrible buoyancy (crashing into fans ) Also refusing to let a person who had decompression sickness from diving some more safety 1st . So keep up the great work everyone .I will definitely be back to Egypt again for more diving ..Mark Z. Trip from January 18 to 25 2018

Frequently Asked Questions

North & Easy - Itinerary Highlights
As an itinerary, it covers the best of the Northern Red Sea, a guarantee that both divers and non-divers shall have a relaxing experience. The best time for good sightings of dolphins and schooling of fish at Ras Mohamed, the boat operates between May and September. Among the dive sites that guests can visit are Sha'ab El Erg, known for its coral gardens and its opportunity to encounter dolphins; other classic dive sites include Ras Mohamed National Park, Tiran for its stunning coral reefs, and the well-renowned wreck of the Thistlegorm. The variety is completed by the Dunraven wreck with its schools of glassfish and the coral gardens of Tiran. It spends more time moored at each site, which is more suitable for avid photographers needing extra time underwater or non-divers wanting to enjoy the view. In some places, an open deck policy allows one to snorkel, dive, or just relax on deck at will. Qualified divers can make as many as four dives a day, while a guided introductory dive is allowed for the non-divers. Dive sites and itineraries are adjusted based on the weather conditions to dive safely and spot marine life to a maximum extent. The route starts from Hurghada, covers the most popular locations, and plans the events with consideration of local conditions and divers' skills
Reefs & Wrecks - Itinerary Highlights
Reefs & Wrecks is a very popular itinerary. The famous wrecks of the Northern Red Sea are the subject of this trip, combined with stunning reefs. Wrecks may include the Thistlegorm, Abu Nuhas wrecks, and the Ulysses. Each one offers a different aspect of marine life and underwater history. Abu Nuhas: This reef is located near the island of Gubal, which is famous for its wrecks: Giannis D, Carnatic, Chrisoula K, and Kimon M. Each of these has its own particular feature in topography, general condition, or fish life. Other reef dives include Ras Mohamed, which features nutrient-rich waters that attract large fish, and reef fish-filled coral gardens off of Tiran. The waters around Gubal Island are also popular for night dives to view nocturnal species like lionfish and moray eels that dwell in the shallow wrecks. Conditions depend, dives may also be made to the Dunraven, Kingston, or Carina. This 21+ dive itinerary offers great opportunities for those seeking to maximize time underwater. Night dives and wreck dives supplement the reef explorations to maintain a good balance in experiencing the diversity of the Red Sea underwater
Famous Five - Itinerary Highlights
Famous Five combines three days each of reef diving, wreck diving, and sightings of pelagics. Starting from Hurghada, it covers Abu Nuhas, the SS Thistlegorm, and the Rosalie Moller wreck among others. The Rosalie Moller is deeper than the Thistlegorm, but the wreck is surrounded on a regular basis by glassfish and lionfish. Shark Reef at Ras Mohamed may have dramatic drop-offs for the divers, along with the wreck of the Yolanda. The Brothers rise steeply from deep water, offering wall dives with abundant soft corals and gorgonian forests. Pelagics such as tuna, barracudas, silky sharks, and hammerheads are often seen here, while grey reef sharks can be found around the North and South Plateaux of Small Brother. For wreck enthusiasts, the Aida II and Numidia wrecks are smothered in rich coral growth and attract species such as Napoleon wrasse. Returning via Safaga, the divers dive at Panorama Reef, famous for coral formations, or at the Salem Express wreck. The itinerary weighs diving historical wrecks and vibrant reef ecosystems, giving them also the possibility to encounter larger marine species
Best Time to Dive
One can dive in the Red Sea all year. From November to March, water temperatures are cooler and crowds fewer; this is the quiet time when sights can be seen. Sightings are more common during April to June with manta appearing in the warmer waters. More shoaling fish are seen during summer. The period between September and early November has warm water with mild air temperatures, perfect for most divers. Water temperatures vary from 21°C in winter to 30°C in summer; generally, the Deep South area is warmer compared to Hurghada or Marsa Alam areas
Marine Life
From clownfish and moray eels to Napoleon wrasse and sea turtles, the Red Sea is home to more than 1,200 species. Certain locations place emphases on specific encounters: Ras Mohamed features steep walls with large fish; Abu Nuhas finds schools of reef fish around its wrecks; and hammerheads, silky sharks, and the occasional thresher shark show up around the Brothers. Tiran and Sha'ab El Erg boast coral gardens with brilliant reefs and diversified marine life; occasionally, one even sees dolphins
Safety and Dive Site Flexibility
Dive sites are selected according to weather conditions, safety, and local sea conditions. The boat crew, experienced in doing so, will adjust this itinerary for optimum experiences ranging from wreck dives to brilliant reefs. When conditions require it, such changes must be made to planned routes for safety and optimal opportunities concerning marine life views
