Small Crack, in the Shaab Mahmoud area, is a narrow channel through the reef that creates a memorable drift-style route. It combines lagoon calm with current-shaped passage diving.
What to see
Divers may see coral walls, glassfish, lionfish, moray eels, blue-spotted rays, reef fish, soft corals, and schooling fish in the channel.
When To Go Diving
Best in spring and autumn, with timing often linked to tide and current. Water is generally 22–28°C, with visibility often very good.
