Elphinstone boasts colorful coral walls and plateaus, plus pelagic encounters. It is common to see Longimanus and Silky Sharks in and out of season

This itinerary incorporates some of the most well-known dive sites in the Red Sea. Briefings by qualified staff are given, after which divers are expected to take responsibility for their dive with their buddy. A staff member will be present on all dives from the tenders to assist with group management, critter spotting, and safety. Still, divers are expected to plan their dives and stay within their certification limits.

Great first liveaboard experience with outstanding crew - thank you
Scuba Diving: The diving operation was outstandingly well-organized. I was impressed by the smooth coordination that made multiple dives a day feel effortless. Diving with the same group all week was a great experience, allowing us to build camaraderie instead of being shuffled around with different people each day. The back deck operations—from tank filling to equipment handling—were conducted with near-military precision. We encountered a few minor equipment issues, but the crew helped resolve everything quickly and efficiently. Food: The food exceeded my expectations, with healthy options and visible efforts by the kitchen staff to accommodate individual dietary needs. The Thanksgiving dinner on Thursday was a fun and memorable touch. Crew: Tiger was phenomenal and ran a great ship! I appreciated how, after a few days, the crew took the time to learn everyone’s names. I had a knee injury, and the crew went above and beyond to assist me by helping with my gear in the zodiac and on deck. They kindly took my weight belt and BCD after dives so I wouldn’t have to bear the weight getting out of the water. Amr and Marco were exceptional dive guides, making each dive even more enjoyable. Tipping: Tiger did a great job setting clear expectations for tipping, explaining that tips are shared equally among the 18 crew members. This transparent and fair approach was much appreciated. He even recorded the tip on a receipt, adding a layer of accountability that I respected. Boat Condition: While the boat itself was generally comfortable, it is showing some signs of wear. There was a minor water leak in one of the corridors, though it didn’t impact our experience. However, the boat photos on the booking site suggest a fresher look, so the actual condition was a bit of a reality check. Overall Experience: This was my first liveaboard experience, and it was excellent. The bar has been set high, and I’ll certainly consider an Aggressor liveaboard again in the future. Thank you.

Great diving but not Aggressor-level experience on the surface
I was expecting the same amazing experience from the Red Sea Aggressor IV trip as we had had just a week earlier on Red Sea Aggressor II. Unfortunately, Aggressor IV didn’t quite meet our expectations on our Deep South-route. The crew on the ship seemed disorganized and inexperienced in running an Aggressor-liveaboard. For example, boat left the harbour without checking if everyone was onboard and had to return to pick them up after sailing to the sea. From the beginning the atmosphere on board was far from relaxing – rather chaotic, similar to regular daily boats in the Red Sea. Safety, daily schedule, and dive briefings were vague and often delayed without clear reasons. It was challenging to relax when the day’s timetable was unclear and kept changing. The dive guides performed well underwater, but the group sizes were often large – sometimes over 8 divers which is not so nice. They did let us dive some dives unguided which we did. Guides should be trained in global customs and etiquette. Gestures, greetings, and personal space norms can vary across divers and local guides’ cultures. Creating a positive atmosphere would enhance the customer experience. The service on the boat was very good. When it was time to dive they helped with the gear. For dinner they served plated dishes and drinks to the table like in a la carte restaurants which was quite nice. The food was average, but there was enough for everyone. Morning coffee could have been be ordered to the cabin, but we did not do that. The cabins and bathrooms on the ship were spacious, clean and well-maintained. The dive deck was also roomy despite having many divers at the same time. The small boats had stable and convenient ladders for getting back on board after dives. I hope that Aggressor IV’s operations are reviewed, and necessary improvements are made for future trips. The boat has potential but improvements and enhancements are needed to meet the Aggressor standards.
