32-inch flat-screen TVs in every stateroom with media access

The Red Sea Aggressor IV liveaboard is a 138-foot yacht designed for stability, safety, and comfort while exploring Egypt’s offshore reefs. With a 29.5-foot beam and diesel engines cruising at 10–12 knots, the vessel supports week-long itineraries from Port Ghalib while accommodating up to 26 guests across 13 staterooms.

Boat Interior

Social spaces are arranged to encourage both relaxation and shared time after diving. A spacious salon serves as the central gathering area, complemented by a separate lounge and dining layout with a fully stocked bar. Entertainment includes movies, games, fish identification presentations, and a small onboard library with exchange books and reference guides. Outdoors, guests have access to a large shaded sun deck furnished with chaise lounges, deck chairs, and a hot tub.

Cabin Types

All staterooms are independently air-conditioned and include a private head and shower, mirrored cabinet, hair dryer, fresh towels, and volume controls. Each room is equipped with a 32-inch flat-screen TV offering a library of approximately 400 movies, television shows, and documentaries, and can be connected to a computer for reviewing underwater images.

Master Stateroom

Four master staterooms are available. Rooms #4 and #5 are positioned on the upper deck with panoramic windows, while rooms #12 and #13 sit on the high deck with picture windows. Each stateroom measures approximately 15' x 11' and features a queen bed (63" x 79") along with a private bathroom and shower.

Deluxe Stateroom

Nine Deluxe staterooms are located on either the main deck (#1–#3) or the upper deck (#6–#11). Each measures roughly 15' x 11' and is arranged with two side-by-side twin beds (39" x 79"). Large picture windows provide natural light, and bathrooms include a shower with a porthole.

Dive Deck

The Red Sea Aggressor IV Egypt operates with three dive tenders measuring approximately 8 ft. x 21 ft. (two vessels) and 6 ft. x 16 ft. (one vessel). Diving typically begins Sunday after port clearance and concludes Friday upon return to port. Seven-night charters average up to 20–23 dives, including several night dives, within a depth range of roughly 26–130 ft (8–40 m). Recommended exposure protection ranges from 3–5 mm wetsuits in summer to 7 mm in winter, with water temperatures averaging 23–28°C (74–82°F).

Food & Drinks

Menus combine Egyptian feasts with local cuisine and are served throughout the day. Breakfast may include fresh fruits, hot entrées, cereals, juices, and other selections. Lunches often feature soups, homemade breads, salads, sandwiches, or hot dishes, while dinners are chef-prepared with salads, vegetables, seafood, beef or chicken, and dessert. Complimentary beverages include fruit juices, soft drinks, iced water, tea, coffee, and a limited selection of local beer and wine. Alcohol is available, though guests are reminded that drinking and diving do not mix.

Safety

Safety provisions extend across both the yacht and its tenders. Equipment includes life jackets, first aid kits, oxygen supplies, and communication devices such as VHF radios or satellite phones, allowing the crew to respond promptly to emergencies.

Itineraries

Operating from Port Ghalib, the mv Red Sea Aggressor IV liveaboard Egypt follows Saturday-to-Saturday schedules that explore offshore reefs and historic wreck zones. Routes frequently include the Brothers Islands, Daedalus Reef, Elphinstone, and sections of the southern Red Sea, alongside sites near Marsa Alam and Sataya.

At Big Brother, near-vertical walls descend into open blue water while the wrecks of Numidia and Aida rest along coral-covered slopes inhabited by anthias, gorgonians, and pelagic species such as grey reef sharks, thresher sharks, hawksbill turtles, and seasonal oceanic whitetips. Nearby Little Brother presents deep walls and plateaus where hammerheads and other large fish are occasionally encountered.

Daedalus Reef rises from deep offshore waters and is recognized for schooling hammerheads, manta rays between March and October, whale sharks in summer, and dense coral growth ranging from hard formations to yellow Litophyton and pulsing Xenia. Elphinstone, a cigar-shaped reef with steep walls and twin plateaus, supports barracuda, cornetfish, silky sharks, and manta sightings under variable currents.

Southern sites such as Sha’ab Maksour display extensive hard coral fields with dogtooth tuna and hawksbill turtles, while cave systems at Sha’ab Claude filter sunlight through overhead openings. The St. John’s region introduces passageways illuminated by shafts of light, hydroids glowing in red and orange hues, and marine life including bluespotted rays, porcupine fish, flatworms, and Spanish dancers during night dives.

Together, these routes reflect the diversity of Red Sea diving, where coral architecture, offshore reefs, and open-water encounters define the experience aboard the Red Sea Aggressor IV liveaboard

Frequently Asked Questions About Red Sea Aggressor IV

What are the Brothers, Daedalus, and Elphinstone areas like as dive sites?

These dives highlight exciting marine life against interesting underwater landscapes. The Brothers have steep walls covered in vibrant corals and pelagic species such as Grey Reef Sharks, Thresher Sharks, and sometimes Hammerheads. Big Brother has two wrecks, the Numidia and Aida, and a Gorgonian Forest at Little Brother. Daedalus is famous for its schooling Hammerheads, Manta Rays, and coral formations in perfect shape. Elphinstone boasts colorful coral walls and plateaus, plus pelagic encounters. It is common to see Longimanus and Silky Sharks in and out of season

St. Johns/Daedalus Itinerary: What can I expect?

This itinerary incorporates some of the most well-known dive sites in the Red Sea. Sha' Claude introduces you to its swim-throughs and light-filled chambers, while Malahi takes your breath away with a maze of pinnacles and corridors. St. John's Caves: Underwater photographers' dream with the sun-filled passageways and marine life that one would hope to see. Habili Gaffar and Habili Aly offer pelagic life, such as grey reef sharks and hammerheads, along with vibrant coral growth and reef fish. Zabargad and Rocky Island have adrenaline-charged wall dives, offering turtles, reef sharks, and sometimes even manta rays

When is the best time of the year to dive here, and what are the water temperatures?

The water temperature varies from 23°C, 74°F, in winter, to 29°C, 84°F, during summer. During summer months, the waters are warmest, while marine life can be quite varied; the winter time is cooler yet with very good visibility underwater. A 3mm wetsuit should normally be enough in summer, but for the winter months, it is best to wear a 5mm one

What kind of supervision is on dives?

Briefings by qualified staff are given, after which divers are expected to take responsibility for their dive with their buddy. A staff member will be present on all dives from the tenders to assist with group management, critter spotting, and safety. Still, divers are expected to plan their dives and stay within their certification limits

What clothes to take with me?

Light and comfortable clothes, even swimsuits and sports casual, are recommended. On occasions, a light sweater or jacket may be welcome, besides sunscreen, sunglasses, sun hat, and comfortable walking shoes. Soft luggage only, preferably duffel bag type, is great for easy storage

What's aboard in terms of meals; what about special dietary considerations?

Meals: fresh fruits, hot entrees, soups, salads, and Egyptian-inspired dishes. Dinners: Seafood, chicken, beef and homemade desserts. Special diets: catered to with advance notice. Beverages: Juices, tea, coffee, soft drinks, and limited local beer and wine.
Special diving equipment that should be brought along by divers
Divers are advised to bring safety items like a Dive Alert, Safety Sausage, and Nautilus Lifeline. Dive computers are mandatory and can be rented onboard if needed. Appropriate exposure suits are recommended based on water temperatures, with 3mm wetsuits suitable for summer and 5mm wetsuits ideal for winter

Great crew
I enjoyed my dives and the dive crew was great. We rotated DM and everyone knew the dive sites and duties. The hammerheads, mantas, turtles , and spotted blue Ray came to greet us almost in every dives. Muhammad Aljazzar and Ali went beyond there normal duties as they assist with my transportation at the end of trip.
