Joining the Ocean Tribe Liveaboard Fleet as the sister ship to the well-reviewed Ghazala Explorer, the Ghazala Adventure liveaboard brings a refined yet functional approach to Red Sea diving safaris. Designed for divers who appreciate comfort without excess, it blends practical diving infrastructure with thoughtful hospitality, making it a solid choice for both north and south Red Sea itineraries. Whether you’re following the wreck trails around Ras Mohamed or exploring the pelagic-rich walls of Daedalus, the MV Ghazala Adventure liveaboard Egypt offers a steady, well-supported platform from which to dive.

Boat Interior

The interiors of the Ghazala Adventure are modern and well-lit, designed to keep guests comfortable between dives. The main saloon offers an air-conditioned retreat for meals, briefings, or leisure - complete with a multimedia entertainment system and small boutique shop. A dining room adjoins the saloon, where meals are served buffet-style three times daily. The upper and top decks offer multiple outdoor seating areas furnished with bean bags, sun loungers, and shaded tables. Tea and coffee stations are available on both outdoor decks, making it easy to grab a cappuccino or herbal tea between dives.

Dive Deck

Directly connected to the saloon, the dive deck on the Ghazala Adventure liveaboard is spacious, shaded, and thoughtfully arranged. Guests have access to a designated camera area with work tables, a charging station, and rinse tanks for sensitive equipment. Two large zodiacs provide easy site access, and the dive platform includes freshwater showers for rinsing after each dive. The vessel typically hosts two - three dive guides. Certified divers enjoy complimentary Nitrox. Specialist gas fills and PADI courses should be arranged in advance; rebreather diving is not supported.

Safety

Safety onboard is a clear priority. The boat is equipped with fire extinguishers, fire alarms, smoke detectors, and emergency flares. Emergency rafts and life vests are available for all passengers. First aid kits, an AED, and emergency oxygen are readily accessible and maintained according to operational standards.

Non-diving Activities

Guests not diving - or simply looking to relax between dives - have plenty of space to unwind. The upper and fly decks feature four separate outdoor lounging areas, ideal for reading, napping, or watching the Red Sea sunset with a fruit smoothie in hand. Wi-Fi is available when coverage allows. The bar offers both local and international alcoholic beverages for purchase. On certain itineraries, guests may also enjoy beach BBQs and optional land excursions, depending on weather and schedule.

Itineraries

From September through November 2025, the Ghazala Adventure liveaboard Egypt offers a rotating schedule of week-long trips departing from Hurghada (HRG), covering a mix of northern reef-and-wreck circuits and offshore reef systems in the central Red Sea. These itineraries are designed to balance accessibility with variety - suitable for divers interested in both historical sites and vibrant coral ecosystems.

North: Wrecks & Reefs

Running multiple times across September, October, and November, this route blends some of Egypt’s best-known wrecks with lively reef systems. Divers can expect to visit iconic sites such as the SS Thistlegorm, Giannis D, and the colourful coral gardens of Ras Mohamed and Abu Nuhas. It's a solid choice for divers of varying experience levels, combining shallow reef drifts and deeper wreck penetrations.

North & Brothers Islands

Scheduled for late September 2025, this variation includes stops at the legendary Brothers Islands - offering the chance to dive steep walls teeming with pelagic life, including reef sharks and schooling barracuda. These sites often require advanced certification due to their exposure to currents and depth.

Get Wrecked

Featured in mid-October, this itinerary is dedicated to Egypt’s most captivating shipwrecks. Expect a high concentration of wreck dives, with detailed exploration of multiple sites across the northern Red Sea. Suitable for wreck enthusiasts and photographers alike.

Brothers, Daedalus, Elphinstone (BDE)

Planned for late October and early November, this is one of the Red Sea’s most celebrated routes. The BDE itinerary is known for world-class wall diving, hammerhead sightings at Daedalus, oceanic white tips around the Brothers, and the dramatic drop-offs of Elphinstone. Strong currents and open-sea conditions make this option best suited to experienced divers.

When to Go

The Red Sea is accessible year-round, but conditions vary by season. Summer brings high water temperatures and excellent visibility, making it ideal for pelagic sightings at offshore reefs. In winter, cooler surface temperatures can mean fewer boats at popular sites and excellent light for underwater photography. Regardless of season, the Ghazala Adventure maintains regular sailings, adapting each route to seasonal marine conditions and diver safety.
