Ghazala Explorer Liveaboard, Egypt
Ghazala Explorer is a 37-metre liveaboard operating in the Red Sea. Designed with divers’ comfort in mind, the vessel combines indoor lounge areas, outdoor spaces, and a dedicated diving setup across four decks.
Boat Interior
The vessel features lounge and dining rooms together with covered outdoor areas designed for socialising, relaxing, and sunbathing. Indoor areas are air-conditioned, while public spaces also include a bar equipped with two mini fridges and a boiler.
Guests also have access to a TV, DVD, and sound system, along with a library and board games. Two public bathrooms are available onboard.
Cabin Types
Accommodation is arranged across 10 Double Cabins, one King Suite, and one Junior Suite, accommodating up to 24 guests.
All cabins are en-suite and equipped with individually controlled air conditioning. Each guest is provided with a hand towel, bath towel, and beach towel.
King Suite
The king suite features a double bed configuration and en-suite bathroom facilities.
Junior Suite
The junior suite includes en-suite bathroom facilities and individually controlled air conditioning.
Double Cabin
The double cabins are arranged with double bed configurations and en-suite bathrooms.
Dive Deck
The dive setup includes a dive platform supported by two Yamaha tenders powered by 100 HP and 40 HP outboards.
The vessel operates with two Bauer 320 m³ compressors and provides Nitrox. Diving facilities also include 24 aluminium 12-litre DIN tanks, a charging station, a camera rinsing tank, and equipment rental with spare equipment available onboard.
Each diver is assigned a dedicated tank spot together with a personal station for dive equipment storage throughout the trip.
Three dive guides and instructors are onboard, with a maximum ratio of eight divers per guide. PADI and SSI courses are also available.
Safety and Navigation
Safety equipment onboard includes life rafts, life jackets, firefighting systems, fire extinguishers, smoke detectors, first aid kits, oxygen kits, and fire alarms.
Navigation equipment includes radar, echo sounder, GPS, VHF marine radio, HF radio, satellite phone, and compass.

The vessel operates Red Sea itineraries departing from Hurghada and Port Ghalib. Routes include North: Wrecks & Reefs, Brothers, Daedalus, Elphinstone, North & Safaga Area, North & Brothers Islands, North Including Tiran & Dahab, Totally Wrecked, Daedalus Rocky Zabargad, and Deep South itineraries.
Sites visited across these itineraries include Ras Mohamed National Park, SS Thistlegorm, Abu Nuhas Reef, Brothers Islands, Daedalus Reef, Elphinstone, Rocky Island, Zabargad, Fury Shoals, Tiran, Dahab, St Johns, Little Gubal Island, and Abu Dabbab.
The routes combine reef walls, wrecks, coral gardens, drift dives, caverns, and offshore reefs. Marine life described across the itineraries includes turtles, dolphins, manta rays, hammerheads, oceanic whitetips, threshers, barracuda, and reef sharks.
Some itineraries recommend Advanced Open Water certification or Deep Dive Speciality certification, while southern routes may require a minimum of 30 logged dives. Night diving is prohibited within marine park areas.
When to Go
Red Sea conditions remain generally warm throughout the year, with water temperatures suitable for wetsuit diving. Air temperatures can become high during summer, while evenings may feel cooler during winter.

Abu Nuhas contributes even more steel, Giannis D, Carnatic, Chrisoula K, each wreck telling its own sunken story. What is included in the Ghazala Adventure liveaboard trip price? Are there extra fees?
Diving services include tanks, weights, and the guidance of 2 or 3 experienced dive guides, depending on group size. All necessary permits, marine park fees, harbour taxes, and round-trip transfers to/from the vessel are included.
Not included are visa fees, dive gear rental, special tank requests, and any personal purchases from the onboard shop. While crew gratuities are not compulsory, a 10% tip based on the trip price is recommended and greatly appreciated. Please note that equipment rental, extra items, and alcoholic beverages are payable onboard
