Just do it!
Hands down the best diving experience of my life. There’s a strong focus on safety as the diving can be quite advanced. Nothing abnormal but if you’re not used to negative entries from a small boat or spending time at depth in The Blue then it can be quite intimidating. The boat itself is impeccable. Clean bed linen everyday. Post-dive robes are provided and are perfect for wearing in between dives. The boat staff are always available and willing to help with whatever you need, from doing your laundry through to making a random cup of hot chocolate on demand. The boat cleanliness is first class. En-suites are cleaned twice a day, the boat is washed down twice a day, etc etc. The crew are very proactive in helping you prepare for diving and upon your return. Handling your fins and wetsuits as needed. The food: 5* buffet each and every meal. Michelin star chef in all but name.

Lifelong memories and friends made on an unforgettable trip to the Red Sea
DIVE. EAT. SLEEP. REPEAT. Over 6 days, and having done 17 of the 20 available dives, we really followed the Ocean Lovers motto. This was our first liveaboard diving trip, and we really have gotten ourselves in a fix because Ocean Lovers have set the bar too high for anyone else. Sammi, Mohammad, Simone, and Ali were all amazing dive guides, and I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to dive with all of them over the week. The boat is fantastic. The rooms are super comfortable. The crew are always there to help you - be it during meals with service, at the bar for drinks and coffee, getting on and off the boats or zodiacs, or in and out of our equipment. Everything is cleaned up before each dive, and the setup runs so smoothly, you quickly settle into a rythmn. DIVE. EAT. SLEEP. REPEAT. From the first day to the last, the entire team made sure we were (very) well fed -- 4 meals a day! -- well rested, and had amazing dives. This. Has. To. Be. Your. Next. Liveaboard.

Brilliant Egypt option!
Overall the experience with Ocean Lovers was brilliant! The boat and rooms were spacious and everything was cleaned after every dive so it was always spotless. The staff were brilliant, briefings were great and food was delicious and varied. There are lots of options for unguided dives to break away from groups which is really useful given it is a larger boat and there are different abilities. We chose this boat and route for the wrecks and it was a great balance of wreck and reef dives.

Turtles, reef sharks, and shimmering schools of fish
Vibrant coral gardens, crystal-clear visibility, and untouched marine life
Plenty of small and big marine life
Deep walls fully covered in soft corals
Day 1:
Meet & greet at the airport. Group transfer to the port. Onboarding, meeting the crew & briefing

Days 2-6:
Departing & check dive. Safari according to the planned route.
Tucked away in the far southern reaches of the Red Sea, near the remote frontier of Halaib Triangle, the Elba Reefs feel like a secret whispered only among the most adventurous divers. This is not just another dive site - it’s a journey into one of the last truly untouched marine sanctuaries in Egypt. Vibrant coral gardens, crystal-clear visibility, and untouched marine life create a scene that feels almost unreal. Glide alongside turtles, reef sharks, and shimmering schools of fish in waters few have explored. With no crowds and pure, thriving nature, every dive here feels like discovering a secret world beneath the surface. Here, the reefs bloom with astonishing vitality. Towering coral gardens rise like underwater cities, their colors shifting from soft pastels to vivid neon under shafts of sunlight. Massive table corals stretch outward like natural canopies, while delicate sea fans sway gently in the current, creating a hypnotic rhythm that pulls you deeper into the scene. The marine life is nothing short of mesmerizing. Schools of shimmering fusiliers move like liquid silver, weaving around you in perfect harmony. Curious reef sharks patrol the edges of the blue, while hawksbill turtles glide effortlessly past, unbothered by your presence. Every crevice seems alive - home to moray eels, clownfish, and a kaleidoscope of reef dwellers that thrive in these pristine conditions. What makes Elba Reefs truly special is their isolation. Unlike the busier northern Red Sea sites, you won’t find crowds here. Instead, you get the rare privilege of feeling like an explorer descending into waters that few have seen, where nature still reigns in its purest form. Visibility is often spectacular, stretching into endless shades of blue, and the sense of tranquility is profound. It’s the kind of place where time slows down, where every breath feels deeper, and every moment underwater becomes unforgettable. For divers seeking more than just a dive for those chasing wonder, silence, and raw beauty - the Elba Reefs offer an experience that feels almost otherworldly.
