Frequently Asked Questions About Emperor Elite
It's a great opportunity to discover the southernmost and the most remote reef systems starting from Port Ghalib. The relaxing cruise allows making up to 21 dives in seven days. Be ready for coral gardens, overhangs, walls, and swim-throughs. Reef grey sharks, barracudas, snappers, and butterflyfish will be your marine life.
Finally, the route commonly drops towards Southern sites like Abu Dabab or Sha'ab Sharm, popular with white-tip reef sharks. Fury Shoals brings up such spectacular sights as Sha'ab Claude with its complicated swim-throughs and Abu Galawa Soraya with its glassfish and small wreck. St Johns enjoys a massive reef system next to the Sudanese border area. The best known are Habili Ali - which has huge gorgonians and frequent sightings of hammerheads - and Habili Gafaar, with its reef covered in soft corals and snappers.
This trip may also include if conditions permit, Rocky and Zabargad Islands. The dives on the last day are usually around the Elphinstone Reef or close by at Abu Dabab, just in order to return home more relaxed. Making dive site selection flexible by weather and marine life considerations is yet another hallmark of this adaptive, rewarding itinerary
A route that includes the most iconic sites in the southern Red Sea: Big and Little Brothers, Daedalus Reef, and Elphinstone. Wall diving against an ornate backdrop of vibrant soft corals and gorgonian forests, featuring pelagic hammerhead sharks, tuna, barracudas, and sometimes mantas.
The Brother Islands rise almost vertically from the depths and provide plenty of variety: exploring coral-encrusted wrecks such as the Aida II and Numidia, for example. Grey reef sharks and Napoleon wrasse are common sightings here. Daedalus Reef is the furthest offshore and has sheer drop-offs, pristine hard corals, and regular schooling hammerheads. Elphinstone adds dramatic cliffs, overhangs, and caves with colorful coral walls. Resident napoleons, groupers, and reef sharks are commonly seen.
This is a great itinerary for those who want diverse marine experiences-from colorful coral walls to pelagic species into consideration adaptation to plans according to weather and conditions with the experienced crew aboard. Southern Solitude
Tailored to divers who like quieter seas, Southern Solitude does things a bit differently by offering timeless sites at less crowded times. The 21+ dives itinerary features Elphinstone, Daedalus, St. Johns, and the seldom-visited Rocky and Zabargad Islands.
Port Ghalib checks dive at Elphinstone, then to Daedalus with his deep walls and pelagic life. Rocky and Zabargad, the remote and scenic reefs where you often don't see any other divers, then to Fury Shoals and St. Johns. Stop sites would include secluded sites selected by the guides of picturesque reefs with abundant marine life.
The last days are spent with offshore diving, staying down as long as possible before returning to port. This cruise blends the tranquility many are seeking with the action of varied marine encounters and offers something different for even the most seasoned diver
The Red Sea is known to be inhabited by hammerheads, silvertip sharks, turtles, dolphins, and Napoleons, among many more. St. Johns are home to shoals of snappers and butterflyfish, where large pelagics are known at Daedalus and the Brothers, while reef sharks and moray eels are drawn to Elphinstone's coral walls. Every location is unique in its specific ecosystem and will thus be different between the various itineraries
The Red Sea is an all-year-round destination, depending on what kind of diving or marine life the customer would prefer to see. Cooler months-22-25°C-from November to March have quieter sites and moderate water temperatures. Warmer waters are from April to June, and on top of that, mantas are possible. The summer months provide the best shoaling fish viewings, but the air temperature heats noticeably. Between September and November, the waters are still warm and the air temperature is pleasant enough for perfect conditions for a wide variety of marine life sightings
