Newly built in December 2025, designed for stability and large-group dive operations
The MY Grand Discovery liveaboard presents a modern Red Sea platform designed around stability, space, and high-capacity diving operations. Built in December 2025, this 45-metre vessel accommodates up to 36 guests and combines contemporary interiors with practical layouts suited to extended dive itineraries in Egypt. As a large dive boat operating northern and southern routes, MY Grand Discovery Egypt liveaboard is structured to balance underwater activity with generous relaxation areas above deck.

Boat Interior

Inside, the yacht is arranged around a spacious, air-conditioned salon divided into two distinct zones. A dedicated lounge area features comfortable sofas, coffee tables, and a fully stocked bar serving soft and alcoholic drinks. Adjacent to this space, a separate dining room accommodates all guests at once, with meals served buffet-style. Entertainment is provided by a large TV, music system, and a small onboard library, creating a relaxed atmosphere between dives and during evenings at sea.

Dive Deck

Diving operations are supported by a fully equipped dive deck designed for efficiency and safety. The vessel carries Bauer compressors, a Nitrox membrane filling system, and a total of 52 aluminium tanks in both 12- and 15-litre sizes. Three zodiacs support site access, including two 6.5-metre boats powered by Yamaha 115 HP engines and an additional 5.2-metre tender. This setup allows smooth diver transfers across a wide range of Red Sea dive sites.

Safety

Safety systems onboard include life jackets, life rafts, fire alarms, emergency oxygen, and first-aid equipment. Navigation and communication systems consist of radar, GPS, echo sounder, compass, VHF and HF radio, DSC coverage, and a satellite EPIRB. These features support safe passage across both northern and southern Egyptian waters.

Non-diving Activities

Between dives, guests can unwind across multiple outdoor spaces. Two shaded sundecks provide open seating, one of which includes a bar, while the skydeck offers elevated views and a jacuzzi. These areas create natural gathering points throughout the day, whether for quiet reading, socializing, or enjoying changing seascapes along the Red Sea routes.

Itineraries

The MY Grand Discovery liveaboard Egypt follows itineraries that span Egypt’s most established dive regions. Northern routes include Ras Mohamed and the Strait of Tiran, known for coral formations and current-swept reefs, alongside classic wreck dives such as the SS Thistlegorm, Giannis D, and SS Carnatic. Southern itineraries extend to Brothers, Daedalus, Elphinstone, Zabargad, and St. John’s, where steep walls, offshore reefs, and historic wrecks define the landscape. These schedules combine reef systems, pelagic encounters, and wreck diving across varied Red Sea environments.

When to Go

The Red Sea is a year-round diving destination, with seasonal variations influencing water temperature, currents, and pelagic activity. Northern and southern itineraries are scheduled to align with prevailing conditions across different regions.

Boat for Photographers

While no dedicated camera room is specified, the vessel’s spacious layout, stable platform, and organized diving operations support photographers working across multiple dive environments, from wreck interiors to wide-angle reef scenes.
