Hammerhead II is a multi-deck liveaboard operating in the Red Sea, designed to combine structured diving facilities with large indoor and outdoor living areas.
Boat Interior
The main indoor space consists of a panoramic lounge and dining area with a modern interior design and coordinated lighting. Seating is arranged to maximise sea views from all positions, while the dining space offers a similarly open outlook.
Above, several open-air lounges are distributed across the upper levels, including the third, sun, and fly decks. These areas feature cushioned seating, along with additional facilities such as a kitchenette and bathrooms. A jacuzzi and mini bar are positioned on the upper decks, complementing the outdoor layout. The vessel is equipped with central air conditioning and includes a dedicated laundry room.
Cabin Types
Accommodation is arranged across three cabin types, all designed with attention to space and functionality. Each cabin includes a private bathroom with toilet and shower, air conditioning with individual control panels, cupboards, luggage storage, hairdryers, and bed linen and towels made of Egyptian cotton.
Lower Deck Standard cabins are located on the lower deck and feature twin beds, with eight cabins available.
Upper Deck Standard Plus cabins are located on the upper deck and are configured with one double bed and one single bed, allowing for either double or shared occupancy, with six cabins available.
Upper Deck Master cabins are located on the upper deck and are equipped with king-size double beds. These cabins offer panoramic sea views, with two cabins available.
Dive Deck
The second deck hosts a dedicated outdoor gear area with 36 individual slots for scuba and kitesurfing equipment. The layout allows divers to set up, maintain, and access their equipment efficiently, with sufficient space for movement. Two guest bathrooms are located within this area.
Safety and Navigation
Safety equipment includes an Emergency First Response kit, an oxygen supply tank, three life rafts with a capacity of 20 persons each, and a fire extinguishing system. Navigation systems consist of radar, GPS, and VHF communication.
Itineraries
The vessel operates multiple Red Sea routes departing from Hurghada and Marsa Alam. Northern itineraries include Abu Nuhas, SS Thistlegorm, Ras Mohammed, Tiran Island, and Dahab, combining reef and wreck diving across established sites.
Additional routes focus specifically on wreck and reef sites, including Abu Nuhas, SS Thistlegorm, Ras Mohammed, Dunraven, Rosalie Moller, Gobal, Chrisoula K, Kimon M, Um Gamar, Carless, Fanous, Fanadir, and Almina. These itineraries combine well-known wreck locations with reef dives across the northern Red Sea.
Southern and offshore routes also include Zabargad, Rocky Island, Saint John’s, Sataya, Elphinstone, the Brothers Islands, and Daedalus. Trips are structured over eight days and seven nights, with six days dedicated to diving, while longer itineraries extend across multiple regions. Routes may vary depending on weather and sea conditions, and overnight sailing may be required.
When to Go
The Red Sea generally offers stable diving conditions, with warm water temperatures and good visibility throughout much of the year. Surface conditions such as wind and currents may vary depending on location, particularly in offshore and exposed areas
Boat for Photographers
Photography facilities onboard include two large camera tables equipped with air guns, along with dedicated storage and charging areas. Four large camera storage units with European-type charging facilities are designed for larger camera systems and lighting equipment, accommodating approximately 8 to 10 setups. Additional storage facilities for up to 36 smaller cameras are also available onboard.
