Wadi Gimal is part of Egypt’s southern Red Sea national park region, where reefs, islands, seagrass, and desert coast create a wilder diving setting. It feels less crowded and more natural than the busy resort zones.
What to see
Coral gardens, turtles, rays, reef fish, seagrass life, parrotfish, butterflyfish, moray eels, and possible dolphins in the wider region may be seen.
When To Go Diving
Best in spring and autumn, with summer warmer and winter cooler. Water is generally 22–30°C, with visibility often excellent.
