Far South Atolls
The safari’s highlight is the exploration of the far south Atolls, a less frequented diving paradise with a higher likelihood of encountering diverse shark species and rich marine biodiversity, including vibrant coral reefs and rare pelagic animals.

Itinerary
The itineraries span the central and far south atolls, with notable dive sites such as Thaa and Laamu, and the famous Fushi Kandu known for its abundance of marine life, including reef sharks, eagle rays, and stingrays. The far south stands out as an undiscovered gem, drawing divers with its unique shark encounters and pelagic diversity.

When to Go
Diving in the Maldives is a year-round activity, with the ideal period from December to May, when conditions are most favorable for exploring the diverse underwater landscapes and encountering the currents that bring a variety of marine life closer to the divers

Excellent
I had a fantastic time on the Duke of York. It is managed by an Italian company that primarily books Italian tourists, but my cruise included passengers from many other countries. We had a wonderful time. The trip was well-managed and the food was incredible. Our guide, Muzey, was very professional and knowledgeable. Between dives, I loved that the ship had both sunny and shady areas to relax in. I would book with Duke of York again.
