Equipped with a unique stabilizer system featuring 15 tons of additional weight at its deepest point, this liveaboard ensures a smooth journey, minimizing rolling and seasickness. With experienced German and English-speaking guides and instructors from PADI, SSI, and RAID, divers are in capable hands. The top deck boasts a spacious lounge with a shaded area and cushioned sun loungers, while the luxury cabin includes a private sun deck.

Boat Interior and exterior
This vessel accommodates 20 divers across 10 cabins, including upper deck options with double beds, twin rooms for sharing, and luxury cabins with private sundecks. The lower deck houses two double and five twin bed cabins. The expansive salon features comfortable sofas, TV and DVD player, and board games for socializing. The sundeck, ideal for relaxation, offers stunning views, tables, chairs, and several sun loungers in both sunny and shaded areas.

Dive Deck
Two diving dhonies come fully equipped for a seamless dive experience, including storage boxes for gear. Notably, this liveaboard exclusively provides nitrox fills, enhancing dive safety and duration.

Safety
Prioritizing safety, the crew is well-trained in emergency management and first aid. Each cabin has firefighting equipment, and the boat is outfitted with life vests and emergency rafts for peace of mind.

Itineraries
Focusing on the central atolls of the Maldives, this liveaboard takes divers to some of the country's most celebrated dive sites. Encounter giant mantas, sharks, trevally, snappers, and groupers in areas known for channel diving and strong currents. Explore diverse underwater landscapes including drop-offs, reefs, and caves.

When to Go
Diving in the Maldives is a year-round activity, with December to May offering the best conditions. These months see an influx of plankton, attracting an abundance of fish and pelagic species. However, summer months may experience rougher weather, impacting dive conditions

Wonderful diving holiday in the Maldives on a very comfortable boat
We didn't know anything about Amba beforehand, but chose it because of the itinerary and liked that there weren't too many divers. Everything about the boat was a nice, pleasant surprise. It feels spacious and our cabin was very comfortable and well-organized (Amba is the first liveaboard we've seen (out of at least 25) that actually provides extra hooks, shelving and accessories to store everything away while keeping the cabin relatively humidity-free). Everything was run smoothly and it was obvious from the start that the crew is experienced, attentive and professional and that they prioritized safety and guests' comfort. They were also cheerful and often made me smile! Nothing felt rushed or hectic and everything was available on the dhoni and main boat to have a relaxed diving holiday. We were happy with the diving and could spend lots of time with sharks, mantas (I have one video with 80!!), turtles, barracudas... Our dive guide knew the sites and was observant, not only when it came to finding small and big stuff but checking our group and equipment. The food after every dive was amazing with a lot of flavor, variety and just sheer quantity! I liked that it wasn't the usual buffet style and that we never seemed to run out (something I've actually encountered post-covid on other boats when I'm slow to get food) We were amazed at the amount of food, with lots of fresh fish but even lots of different proteins, including wonderfully juicy lamb and warm freshly baked bread and rolls, pastries and desserts! The common areas are comfortable with a huge shaded/sunny lounge area but also a bar/bodega and area for socializing. Basically, Amba ticked off everything we were looking for in our Maldives holiday and I think that we would definitely cruise with them again.

Program

Manta rays, whale sharks, hammerheads, tiger sharks, bull sharks, guitar rays
Each day offers 2–3 dives
Abundant marine life and iconic dive sites
Vaavu Atoll: Home to thrilling channels (Kandus) and mesmerizing night dives with nurse sharks

Day 1:
Guests are greeted at the airport by the crew at noon (12:00 PM). For those arriving later, pickups are arranged at a pre-scheduled time.
Upon boarding the AMBA liveaboard, guests are welcomed with a refreshing drink and lime-scented towel. A brief orientation is provided by the tour guide, covering the ship's layout and the day's schedule. Guests can then settle into their cabins and freshen up.
At 5:00 PM, check in documents are checked, followed by equipment assembly on the dive boat (Dhoni) with assistance from the dive crew.
Dinner is served at sharp 7:00 PM, after which the crew is introduced, and a comprehensive safety briefing about the boat is conducted. The evening is spent relaxing or mingling with fellow guests after the journey and to adjust your diving computer with the help of the dive crew.

Day 2-6:
Each day offers 2-3 dives, typically 3 unless long crossings are required. These dives take place from Dhoni and include one night dive per trip.
Dive sites are carefully selected, with detailed briefings available in English to prepare guests for each dive. Briefing can be translated into German.
The Maldives offers breathtaking underwater experiences, from coral gardens to encounters with manta rays, whale sharks, hammerheads, tiger sharks, bull sharks, guitar rays and other marine life.
Dives are conducted in self-reliant buddy teams. Experienced dive guides accompany groups to highlight the best aspects of each site. Divers must be capable of independent ascents in buddy teams using surface marker buoys when necessary.

Day 7:
The final dive is scheduled for 8:00 AM on the day before disembarkation.
After the last dive, equipment can be rinsed in freshwater tanks and left to dry before packing.
Guests are invited to explore the capital, Malé, in the afternoon from 4 until 6 pm. The official farewell takes place in the evening at 7, followed by dinner.

Day 8:
Check-out is before 10:30 AM. A light breakfast is provided, with earlier check-outs available upon request. Unfortunately, late check-outs are not possible due to cleaning and preparation for the next trip.
Guests with late flights can store luggage in airport lockers and use the time to explore nearby islands or relax at the airport hotel, which offers access to a pool and alcoholic beverages.
