Frequently Asked Questions About Ariyal

What to bring on a liveaboard tour in the Ariyal Maldives liveaboard?

Guests should bring personal clothing suitable for warm weather, as well as minimal toiletries and a small first aid kit. Earplugs are helpful for a good night's sleep, especially if you're a light sleeper. Waterproof bags are handy for protecting electronics from water. Paperwork is also necessary and should include a valid dive certification, your logbook, proof of dive or travel insurance, and a Nitrox certification if applicable

What are the expected dive conditions and marine life on the Deep South Male to Gan program?

Seven days of daily diving are included on the Deep South Male to Gan program with three to four dives each day. Dive sites are diverse in terms of topography and conditions. Rasfari Corner has plateaus of coral, while Kandooma Thila has stronger currents and is often chosen as a drift dive. Manta ray sightings can be expected at Lankan Beyru. Wreck diving at the Kudhimaa Wreck is part of the agenda, and whale sharks are spotted in Maamigili Beyru. Free time for lunch and relaxation comes in between the dives. On the final day, the tour culminates in check-out early in the day and airport drop

Divers on Explore Maldives agenda have the option of seeing what?

This dive itinerary focuses on sites of dives in South Male and North Ari Atoll for 7 nights aboard the Maldives liveaboard Ariyal. Notable dive sites include Manta Point and Maamigili Beyru, where manta rays and whale sharks are commonly seen. A easily accessible artificial reef with a variety of fish is at the Kudhimaa Wreck. The tour includes pinnacles, drift dives, and night dives. Marine life throughout these areas consists of reef sharks, vibrant corals, and a variety of tropical fish. The trip is suitable for divers of all levels

Are snorkelers or non-divers welcome on the trip?

Snorkeling and non-divers are welcome but will be required to sign a liability form before joining in water excursions. Snorkeling off the dhoni is guided or with a professional diver. The use of snorkeling flotas is mandatory for all snorkeling participants. Limited or no snorkeling will apply on some itinerary routes, for reasons of sea conditions or security concerns

How are the arrivals and transfers organized for the Ariyal Maldives liveaboard?

On check-in day, typically a Saturday, a member of staff wearing a MY FELICITY tee will meet customers at Male Airport near the Burger King area in the departure concourse. A complimentary airport transfer to the boat is organized at 1 PM. Customers already in the Maldives should return to the airport for the group transfer

What does one do towards the end of the tour?

The ship normally anchors off Male sometime around mid-day of the day of disembarkation and stays overnight. The last check-out is 09:00 AM. Tourists should report at the airport three hours prior to their departure flight. All tourists are required to complete the IMUGA form and be ready with their QR code for inspection. Those who are on their own holidays should arrange their own transfers. Day rooms are available in nearby hotels at Hulhumale at a local charge
