The MV Maldives Legend Odyssey liveaboard is a 30-metre expedition yacht built in 2022, designed to offer a comfortable and well-equipped platform for diving and cruising across the Maldives. Accommodating up to 26 guests in 11 cabins, this vessel blends functionality and comfort with a modern interior, spacious social areas, and an experienced nine-member crew. The Maldives Legend Odyssey liveaboard Maldives provides an ideal environment for both divers and non-divers seeking to explore the region’s reefs and marine life.

Cabin Types

Family Cabin – Lower Deck

Four family cabins on the lower deck include one double and one single bed, providing flexible accommodation for up to three guests. Each is air-conditioned and features an en-suite bathroom with a shower and toilet, hairdryer, storage, and locker space.

Standard Cabin – Lower Deck

Two lower-deck cabins are fitted with twin beds. All include air conditioning, private bathrooms, hairdryers, and storage areas for personal belongings.

Tour Leader Cabin – Main Deck

A single cabin on the main deck features bunk beds and seaview windows. It offers air conditioning, an en-suite bathroom, a hairdryer, and storage space.

Seaview Cabin – Upper Deck

Four upper-deck cabins include two with queen/double beds and two with twin beds. Each features air conditioning, an en-suite bathroom, hairdryer, and lockers, as well as seaviews through large windows.

Boat Interior

The indoor saloon is air-conditioned and furnished with comfortable seating, a dining area, and a bar. Audio and video entertainment are available for guests’ leisure time, while panoramic views enhance the dining and relaxation experience. The sun deck offers loungers, shaded areas, and a jacuzzi for unwinding between dives.

Dive Deck

The dive deck of the MV Maldives Legend Odyssey liveaboard includes ample preparation space and organized storage for diving equipment. Facilities feature freshwater showers, rinse hoses, DIN adaptors, and Nitrox for certified divers. Photographers can make use of a camera table, dedicated rinse tanks, and charging stations.

Safety

Safety features include radar, GPS tracking, depth sounder, VHF/DSC/SSB radios, and EPIRB distress systems. Life rafts, life jackets, smoke detectors, firefighting systems, and first aid kits are maintained onboard. Emergency oxygen and a satellite phone are also available.

Nitrox is available for certified divers. Dive tenders assist with site access, and photographers have access to charging and rinse stations.

Boat Navigation & Safety

Navigation systems include radar and GPS, supported by life-saving and emergency communication equipment such as radios, flares, and a bilge pump alarm.

Food & Drinks

Meals combine Western and local Maldivian cuisine, served buffet-style. Snacks are available throughout the day, with alcoholic beverages and spirits offered for purchase. Dietary preferences can be accommodated upon request.

Onboard Facilities

Facilities include a jacuzzi, sun deck, bar, and audio-video entertainment systems. The yacht also offers laundry service, Wi-Fi (paid), and outdoor showers for convenience after dives.

Photographer Facilities

Photographers benefit from dedicated work areas, a camera and photography station, separate rinse tanks for underwater gear, and multiple charging points for batteries and lights.

Maldives Legend Airport staff will welcome you at Velana International Airport on arrival and take you to the boat for boarding. Refreshments are served while you get checked in, followed by a general boat briefing. A dive briefing will be given before each dive by our dive team

Fish Tank: This is close to a fish factory, so many creatures are there (Sting rays, Eels, Guitar sharks, etc.) The fish tank is also known as Stingray City.

DIVE HIGHLIGHTS:
Hulhumale Neru: Here you can see almost all types of moray Eels, giant leopard, sting rays, black spotted rays, and many more.
Alimatha House Reef: One of the most famous night dives in this route, where divers can swim with hundreds of nurse sharks, sting rays, and giant trevally.

Kuda Rah Thila: Declared a marine protected area, you can see large schools of snappers and fusiliers, and turtles. white tip sharks and grey reef sharks in this dive site.
Maamigili Beyru: One of the best highlights of this trip is when you will go out on the sea in search of whale sharks.

DIVE HIGHLIGHTS:
Rangali Madivaru: Manta rays can be seen at this cleaning with a lot of fish.
Pannetone: Famous manta site with high possibility of manta feed sighting outside the atoll during outgoing current. During incoming currents on the ridge of the atoll, you'll see what is known as the "Shark City" and dozens of big grey reef sharks.

Upon arrival at Gan International, you will be greeted by our representative. While on board, you will be settled into your cabin and given a full tour of the boat. After lunch, the entire team will provide you with a detailed briefing. Following it, your dive guides will provide you with a detailed briefing about all your dives. Angafaru: All sorts of marine life can be seen while drifting along the reef. Turtles, manta rays, eagle rays, and sharks can be seen
Nelivaru Thila: A fairly large Thila (pinnacle) compared to the rest. Site features manta rays that come for cleaning and schools of fish.

DIVE HIGHLIGHTS:
Dharavandhoo Thila: Dharavandhoo Thila is a great spot for macro lovers and photographers. There is also a manta ray cleaning station between May and November.
Hanifaru Bay: The globally known marine protected area where scuba diving is banned. You will get to snorkel or freedive here if lucky with 100s of manta rays and at times whale sharks.
