Just like the name implies, this dive site features numerous huge manta rays that have a cleaning station here. Other large species around Lankan Manta Point include whitetip sharks, hawksbill turtles, barracudas, humphead wrasses, and moray eels. In addition, there are myriads of small colorful fish, shrimp, octopi, sweetlips, and blue tangs.

Currents become stronger starting in November, and bring more marine life. The average air temperature varies between 30-32C/86-90F, while the water tends to be around 26-29C/79-84F.
