Maldives Blue Force One Liveaboard, Maldives
Maldives Blue Force One is a 42-metre liveaboard operating central, northern, and southern diving itineraries in the Maldives. The vessel accommodates up to 24 guests in 12 cabins distributed across the lower, main, and upper decks.
Boat Interior
The air-conditioned indoor saloon includes sofas, armchairs, an 85-inch television, in-house channels, and a film system. Its open-plan layout is used for dive briefings, group meetings, and film evenings.
Meals are served in the open-air restaurant, with buffet service at lunch and plated service at dinner. Western cuisine is offered; dietary requirements can be accommodated when arranged in advance, and snacks are available throughout the day. Alcoholic beverages and soft drinks are available for an additional charge.
The restaurant and bar area includes surrounding sofa seating. Other outdoor spaces include an aft terrace, a forward chill-out area, an upper-deck bar, and a sun deck with loungers and a Jacuzzi.
Cabin Types
All cabins include a private bathroom with a shower, individually controlled air conditioning, a safe, towels, and a hairdryer. Lower-deck Deluxe Cabins have one double and one single bed. The main-deck Master Suites have double beds and sea views, while the upper-deck Junior Suites have one double and one single bed with sea views.
Dive Deck
Diving takes place from a separate dhoni equipped with three compressors and two Nitrox membrane systems. Its lowered deck and extra-wide platform with double gates provide access to the water, while individual storage boxes, toilets, hot-water showers, and outdoor showers support the dive operation.
Aluminium S80 tanks, weights, dive guides, and use of the dhoni are included. S100 tanks and rental equipment can be reserved before departure, while Nitrox is available at an additional charge. Four dive guides work with groups of a maximum of six divers per guide, depending on diver numbers, experience, and individual needs.
Safety and Navigation
Navigation and communication systems include radar, an echo sounder, three colour GPS units, a Raymarine chartplotter, radiotelephone, VHF/DSC, and satellite communication. Fire detection and firefighting equipment, a defibrillator, emergency oxygen, first-aid kits, life jackets, an EPIRB, flares, life rings, a searchlight, and a bilge-pump alarm support emergency response aboard the main vessel and dhoni.
Non-diving Activities
Kayaks, SUP boards, and a Jobe banana are available onboard. Depending on the itinerary, weather, and logistics, departures may also include snorkelling, visits to local islands or fishing villages, a barbecue on a deserted island or sandbank, and sunset gatherings. Central Atolls cruises may include an optional guided visit to Malé.
Itineraries
Seven-night Central Atolls cruises begin and end at Malé Airport and visit North Malé, South Malé, Felidhoo, and Ari Atolls. The programme includes up to 18 dives over six diving days. Advanced Open Water certification or an equivalent qualification and 50 logged dives are recommended.
Central Atolls and Hanifaru departures continue through Rasdhoo and Baa Atolls, with snorkelling planned in Hanifaru Bay. These seven-night cruises also include up to 18 dives.
Southern Hemisphere routes explore Gaafu Alifu, Gaafu Dhaalu, Fuvahmulah, and Addu, with embarkation and disembarkation through Kooddoo or Gan according to the scheduled departure. Seven-atoll crossings operate between Malé and Kooddoo in both directions on selected departures. Advanced Open Water and Nitrox certifications and at least 100 logged dives are required for these southern routes.
When to Go
Central Atolls cruises operate for 11 months of the year, excluding June, with weekly departures. Central Atolls and Hanifaru trips are scheduled from July through October, while Southern Hemisphere and seven-atoll routes operate on selected departures assigned to Maldives Blue Force One.
Photography Facilities
The vessel provides a dedicated camera and photography station with a camera table, charging points, separate rinse tanks for underwater cameras, and designated camera storage.
