The boat can welcome up to 18 passengers on board. 9 modern cabins equipped with private showers and air conditioning. All staterooms have a vibe of a traditional Indonesian style. A spacious salon combines leisure and a dining area. There is also a sun deck with comfortable sun loungers.
Safety
Aurora crew is equipped with all necessary safety gear. The boat’s crew pays attention to the diver’s certification level. It must meet safety requirements.
Diving
All dives will be made from dive tenders. Boffersffer nitrox for fivers with EANx certification. Tanks are equipped with yoke valves and there are also DIN adaptors on board.
Itinerary features
Aurora can offer a range of itineraries for Indonesia diving. Banda Sea, Alor, Raja Ampat, Komodo are scheduled. The boat also offers trips with a different duration. Stay at the Komodo archipelago for 7 days or explore more during the 11 night trip. Komodo is known for a variety of underwater landscapes and you have an excellent opportunity to discover all the best dive spots and enjoy this variety. Raja Ampat liveaboard diving is another amazing itinerary that is on the bucket list of many divers. You will not find such a great amount of underwater creatures anywhere else. Lots of big pelagics can be seen while diving in the Banda Sea.
When to Go
The is a high season for each itinerary. Aurora offers to dive at Komodo from May to September. Rich nutrient waters attract more fish at this time of the year. From November to April boat stays at Raja Ampat. And again blooming plankton brings more fish and mantas during these months. But the visibility can be not on the highest level. The water temperature is about 30C (86F). For the Banda Sea, the average water temperature ranges from 26C (78F) to 29C (84F). Aurora goes to the Alor in August and September when surface conditions are more settled

Day 2:
Dampier Strait We will arrive early in the morning around Mansuar, where we will dive some famous sites, such as "Mioskon," "Blue Magic", "Sardines" and other amazing places. Prone to currents, this area is characterized by untouched corals and all kinds of schools of fish. On the surface, green islands and marvelous white sand beaches will surround us.
Day 3:
Penemu Further south, we stop at Fam. We will dive on "My Reef", a submarine ridge with schools of fusiliers and sweetlips. "Keruo Channel" is a fascinating passage between two islands. The slopes are covered with hard corals and sea fans and schools of silversides are seen further in the blue.
Do not miss the chance to make a stop on land to enjoy the breathtaking view over the typical landscape of Raja Ampat.
Days 4, 5:
Farondi Wake up in the Misool National Park, an area with thousands of islands. Here you will be able to see wide varieties of fish, soft and hard corals, all kinds of macro, wobbegong and bamboo sharks. Misool is also one of the rare places, where the landscape is absolutely wonderful. Do not miss the show of the mobulas feeding on schools of silversides!
Days 6, 7:
Misool National Park So many Islands to visit and so many different dive spots. We will cruise around Jillet, Fiabacet, Walib, Wajib, Jef Pele, Mesenta, Boo etc... The Aurora Crew will assure you as many dives as possible to completely appreciate this wonderful and beautiful area.
Day 8:
South Fam "Melissa's Garden" will be our next dive site in the morning. A huge reef with a beautiful coral garden filled with spectacular fish. Wobbegong sharks are one of the highlights here. Sea snakes, pygmy seahorses and huge tridacna clams can be seen in the shallow waters. On "Fam Wall" for the night dive, we will see harlequin shrimps, frogfish and many species of nudibranchs.
Day 9:
Arborek Here we will have the chance to visit a typical local fishermen village, but the morning will be dedicated to spot manta rays, wobbegong sharks and much more.

Day 2:
Wreck Diving in Manokwari - Check Dive at Pasir Putih Wreck.
Putih wreck, located off the coast of Manokwari. This submerged relic offers a fascinating glimpse into maritime history and serves as the perfect spot for participants to conduct their check dive, ensuring their gear is in top condition for the days to come.
Day 3:
Diving at Purup Islands.
Participants will explore the vibrant underwater world surrounding Pulau Purup, known for its diverse marine life and pristine coral reefs. From colorful fish to intricate coral formations, divers will encounter a breathtaking array of aquatic wonders.
Day 4:
Diving at Tj Ayami, Roon Island.
The expedition continues with dives at Tj Ayami, situated near Pulau Roon. Divers can expect encounters with mesmerizing underwater landscapes teeming with marine biodiversity, including schools of fish, reef sharks, and other fascinating creatures.
Day 5:
Diving at Kwatisore - encounter with whale sharks.
One of the highlights of the expedition awaits as participants journey to Kwatisore, renowned for its population of majestic whale sharks. Divers will have the unforgettable opportunity to swim alongside these gentle giants, observing them in their natural habitat.
Day 6:
Diving at Central Atolls / Rouw Island.
Exploration continues at the central atolls near Pulau Rouw, where divers will discover a wealth of underwater treasures, from vibrant coral gardens to hidden caverns inhabited by an array of marine species.
Day 7:
Diving at Yapen / Num Island.
Divers will venture to Yapen and Pulau Num, where they’ll delve into the underwater wonders of these pristine dive sites, encountering colorful reef fish, majestic pelagics, and perhaps even elusive creatures like manta rays and turtles.
Day 8:
Diving at Numfoor Island.

Wreck Diving in Manokwari.

Depending on the arrival time, we might do the check dive around Laha or Tulehu Bay.Laha or Tuleu Bay: area known for its fabulous muck dives, probably among the best in the world for the macro dive. Only the Lembeh Strait in Indonesia can compete.
Day 2:
We will enjoy the beautiful coral walls around Nusa Laut, where we can find an extended variety of tropical fish and creatures.
Day 3:
You will now arrive at the northern end of the outer reefs of the Banda Sea: Pulau Suanggi. The waters here are full of fish, reef sharks, and tuna. As a small bonus for bird lovers, many species can be observed around the island: brown boobies, red-footed boobies and frigate birds.
Day 4:
Manuk, the ‘Snake Island’, a volcanic island with lower interest on land. It takes its nickname from a large amount of sea snakes found there. You will surely see a lot! The drop-offs here are amazing and sharks, mackerels, tunas, and barracudas are often observed.
Day 5:
The breathtaking reefs surrounding Serua island make the perfect scenario for enjoying abundant sea life and if we are lucky enough encounter the hammerhead shark schools cruising close to the reefs.
Days 6-7:
We will dive some sloping reefs and vertical walls that the area has to offer around the Banda sea archipelago . Here the current attracts many fish: fusiliers, dogtooth tuna, eagle rays, barracudas and sometimes sharks. On the reef: soft corals, leather corals, bigeye trevallies and turtles. In front of Banda Neira village, a sunset dive to observe, especially the shy mandarin fish, will be possible .
We will take you on a land excursion to see Banda Neira local village. An unforgettable cultural experience!
Day 8:
Back to Ambon we will enjoy some wall dives in the outside of the bay to enjoy some more clear water and pelagics passing by around the reefs, before we head inside to enjoy the spectacular macro dive sites that this huge bay has to offer.
Day 9:
Today is all about critters, the dive spots inside of Ambon Bay are heaven for Macro lovers only comparable to Lembeh strait.

Day 2:
Dampier Strait & Fam Islands
During these days we will be in Dampier Strait and Fam Islands, which are located between Waigeo and the Bird’s Head Peninsula. Along with Misool, the most famous area for diving is Raja Ampat.
All of the dive sites around the Dampier Strait and Fam Islands are known for a huge amount of schooling fish and Coral Gardens where you get to see reef sharks and wobbegong sharks among others. Some of the best manta dives are also located in the Dampier Strait. And of course, cannot forget the dive sites at some of the jetties in front of local villages, where the pillars are covered in soft corals and are home to small critters. Cruise overnight to Misool.
Days 3-4:
Misool.
Misool is the southernmost island in Raja Ampat and it is surrounded by several hundred small islands and rocks. Some of the most beautiful soft coral reefs in the world are located here. Many of the dive sites around Misool are just as fishy as the ones in the Dampier Strait, with some schools of barracudas, batfish, snappers, and fusiliers. But not only that, Misool is also a great macro destination. Known as the kingdom of the pygmy seahorse. Cruise overnight to Pulau Pisang.
Day 5:
Pulau Pisang.
These two islands and two small rocks between Misool and Halmahera are the perfect spots to spend the day diving in sloping reefs full of soft and hard corals bommies. When the currents are running, the dive sites can be very fishy, and possible to see dogtooth tunas passing by. Cruise overnight to the Strait of Patintie.
Days 6-7:
Strait of Patintie.
We will spend the next two days in the south of Halmahera. Here, two large pinnacles break the surface and are excellent dive sites due to the amount of schooling fish as well as the healthy state of the soft corals. Strong currents here will dictate when you will dive. We will cruise overnight to the Goraici Islands.
Days 8-9:
Goraici Islands.
Located on the west coast of Halmahera. The Goraici Islands have beautiful white sandy beaches with small villages, amazing reefs, and pinnacles. Colorful soft coral in the deeper parts and hard coral gardens in the shallows. Overnight Cruise to Tifore Island.
Days 10-11:
Lembeh Strait.
Time for some 5-start muck diving in Lembeh Strait renowned to be one of the favorite places for this particular kind of diving where find hidden critters around the sandy bottoms will become the ultimate goal of this gorgeous and complete adventure.
Day 12:

Program
Meet & greet at the airport. Group transfer to the port. Onboarding, meeting the crew & briefing.
Day 2:
Banda Neira.
We will start the day in Pulau hatta / Karang hatta: We will dive into both sloping reefs and vertical walls. The current attracts many fish: fusiliers, dogtooth tuna, eagle rays, barracuda, and sometimes sharks. On the reef, are soft corals, leather corals, big-eye trevallies, and turtles. For after moving toward Banda Neira to enjoy a nice sunset dive in its harbor.
Day 3:
Banda Neira.
We will start the day with a land excursion is this beautiful spices paradise and learn more about its incredible history. After that, we will make some dives in the neighbor reefs where the waters are full of fish, reef sharks, and tuna. soft corals, leather corals, big eye trevallies, and turtles.
Day 4:
Banda Neira.
Suanggi is the northern Island of Banda Neira here the waters are full of fish, reef sharks, and tuna. As a small bonus for bird lovers, many species can be observed around the island: brown boobies, red-footed boobies, and frigate birds.
Day 5-8:
Koon.
The small island of Koon has a vertical wall and a slope where the current curls, pushing schools of trevallies, batfish, and barracuda in. Reef sharks are common, but the stars of the show are the giant groupers, the largest of which reaches a size of 3m! Quite exciting dives!
Day 9:
Farondi.
Farondi Islands, about 20km east of Misool, are a popular destination for divers because of the unique seascape: tunnels, caverns, and diving to colorful walls.
Day 10:
Fam island.
The Fam Island is the definition of paradise. A combination of stunning landscapes, marvelous coral gardens, and an exceptionally rich marine biodiversity.
Day 11:
Dampier Strait. To put the cherry on the cake we will enjoy some of the great dive sites in the area before we head to Sorong.
Day 12:
Sorong. Check-out from the yacht, group transfer to the airport.
