KLM Sunshine is a traditional wooden phinisi liveaboard constructed from ironwood and teakwood in Tanah Beru and Bira, South Sulawesi, between 2010 and 2012. Measuring 30.75 meters in length and arranged across three decks, the vessel is designed to support both diving operations and onboard living. With dedicated dive facilities, multiple relaxation areas, and cabins equipped with private bathrooms and manual air conditioning, the boat operates itineraries to destinations throughout North Sulawesi and surrounding regions.
All cabins are equipped with double beds, manual air conditioning, private bathrooms with showers and toilets, and electricity. The upper deck contains two double cabins with individually adjustable air conditioning and private bathrooms. Cabins can be arranged with either single or twin beds. This deck also includes a Chillout Area where briefings and debriefings take place. A hammock is available for resting between dives. The navigation room, captain’s cabin, and cruise director’s cabin are also located on this deck, with staircases leading to the restaurant and the sun deck.
The lower deck includes two double cabins that are slightly smaller than those on the upper deck, along with a spacious owner’s cabin. Each cabin has air conditioning, a private bathroom with shower and toilet, and access to natural light through an emergency exit with a glass window. Additional storage space and a storage room are also located on this deck.
The vessel is equipped with two Bauer Poseidon compressors and one Nitrox membrane system. A total of 30 Nitrox tanks are available onboard. Nitrox diving is mandatory on KLM Sunshine.
One tender is carried onboard for dive operations.
Communication and tracking systems include a satellite phone (ISAT Phone Pro), Garmin Inreach SE®+ satellite communicator with Protegear Vesseltrack, TRON AIS-SART search and rescue transmitter, GPS, radar, radio, and echolot. Emergency oxygen and a fully stocked medical kit are available onboard

KLM Sunshine is a wooden phinisi liveaboard built in the coastal town of Bira, South Sulawesi, using traditional Phinisi shipbuilding methods passed down through generations. The vessel was constructed between 2010 and 2012 from ironwood and teakwood in Tanah Beru and Bira. The overall length measures 30.75 meters, with a deck length of 25.50 meters and a deck width of 6.93 meters. The main deck width measures 3.00 meters. The layout is arranged across three decks.All cabins are equipped with double beds, manual air conditioning, private bathrooms with showers and toilets, and electricity. The upper deck contains two double cabins with individually adjustable air conditioning and private bathrooms. Cabins can be arranged with either single or twin beds. Freshwater rinse facilities are available for equipment. A designated charging station allows guests to power stationary cameras, lamps, and laptops.The vessel is equipped with two Bauer Poseidon compressors and one Nitrox membrane system. Safety
KLM Sunshine is equipped with a range of safety systems. A large emergency exit is located on the lower deck. Smoke detectors are installed throughout the vessel, and fire extinguishers are placed across the boat, including inside cabins.
