Komodo Sea Dragon is a 35-meter (114-foot) liveaboard that blends traditional Indonesian exterior charm with a surprisingly exquisite interior. Built in 2009 and last renovated in 2023, the vessel offers a unique balance of classic style and modern comfort. It operates year-round in Komodo National Park, taking guests to iconic dive sites like Batu Bolong, Shotgun, Manta Alley, Crystal Rock, and Castle Rock. With a dedicated dive boat and small dive groups, the Komodo Sea Dragon delivers a personalized and intimate underwater adventure

Accommodation

The yacht accommodates up to 12 guests in 6 spacious cabins, with the flexibility to host up to 16 when using convertible sofa beds. Each cabin features en-suite bathrooms, individually controlled air conditioning, a writing desk, reading lights, and stunning sea views

Double Cabins

Elegantly appointed with a king-size bed, a convertible sofa bed, and a private furnished balcony. These cabins offer 23 square meters of space and can accommodate 2 to 3 guests

Main Twin Cabin

Designed for comfort and convenience, this cabin features two twin beds, a writing desk, reading lamps, and 18 square meters of space for 2 guests

Second Twin Cabin

Mirroring the functionality of the main twin cabin, this room offers two twin beds, a writing desk, and 15 square meters of space for 2 guests

All cabins include luxury touches such as plush bedding, ample storage, and the option for triple occupancy, making the Sea Dragon ideal for families, groups, or solo travelers seeking extra space

Diving & Facilities

Diving is operated from a separate dedicated dony boat (Putra Sebayur), ensuring tranquility on the main vessel and focused, efficient dive operations. This setup also houses the compressors, reducing noise on the mother ship. Small dive groups maintain a maximum ratio of 4 divers to 1 guide for a safe and personal experience. The dive boat includes its own sundeck and toilet facilities.

Komodo Sea Dragon offers 12-liter tanks with both Yoke and DIN connections, plus 15-liter tanks available for an extra charge. DIN adaptors are provided, and nitrox is available for those who are certified. Rental gear, private dive guides, and courses can be arranged on board. After dives, warm freshwater showers and separate camera rinsing facilities help keep equipment in top condition

Onboard Comfort & Services

The vessel is crewed by a professional team of local and international staff known for their warm hospitality. Guests enjoy an air-conditioned indoor saloon with audio and video entertainment, an outdoor lounge, and a spacious sun deck with loungers. Free unlimited 4G internet keeps you connected while at sea

Meals are served buffet style, blending Western and Asian cuisine. All-day coffee, tea, snacks, and soft drinks are available. Alcoholic beverages including beer, wine, and spirits are offered at an extra cost. Dietary restrictions can be accommodated with advance notice. The crew also organizes land excursions such as trekking to see Komodo dragons, visits to Pink Beach, Padar Island hikes, and Kalong Island to witness flying foxes at sunset

Safety & Navigation

Komodo Sea Dragon is equipped with comprehensive safety and navigation systems: Radar (Garmin 1052XS), GPS (Garmin 585), Class B AIS transponder, VHF radios, EPIRB distress system, satellite and mobile phones, searchlight, and emergency flares. Safety gear includes two 16-person life rafts, life vests, life rings, smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, fire hoses, oxygen kits, first aid kits, and a Nautilus Lifeline Marine Rescue GPS for each diver. The crew is trained in first aid and emergency procedures

Sustainability & Independence

The vessel carries 6 tons of fresh water and produces an additional 6,000 liters per day via a watermaker. Fuel capacity is 5 tons, supporting extended trips through Komodo National Park. Waste management practices align with the park’s conservation guidelines
