The Shenron is a 79-foot/27-meter phinisi liveaboard in Indonesia, built to take up to 8 travelers on dive safaris in Komodo National Park. This ship accommodates travelers of all kinds, from independent adventurers to those on a limited budget.

The ship has four cabins and four double beds in cabins, each having a private bath. All the cabins have an air conditioner, charging power plugs, and windows where natural ventilation takes place using the ocean wind.

Social areas are built to provide both comfort and functionality. The outdoor dining area is the focal point where guests are served fresh Indonesian and Western food. To unwind, a sundeck with benches is provided, perfect for relaxing between dives or sunbathing. An indoor lounge and briefing room provide a cozy spot to plan dives or just socialize.

Dive activities aboard the ship are properly organized, with early morning dives allowing the guests to go to less visited places in North and Central Komodo. Diving at South Komodo offers a chance to see untouched, isolated sites accessible only via liveaboards. Distant sites of South Komodo, including Nusa Kode, Padar, South Rinca, and South Komodo Island. Places like these are famous for their exceptional sea diversity, unique topography, and occasional opportunities to spot the Komodo Dragon

Frequently Asked Questions About Shenron

Diving groups are kept small for safety and a more personalized experience. One certified dive guide or instructor is usually assigned to a group of four or five divers. Where feasible, divers are grouped by skill level, not combining experienced divers with beginners. The guides and instructors maintain their training and certifications up to date, and only local experts who are based in Labuan Bajo are employed. Freelance guides are not used, and hence the guests always use the same guide for their activity to enhance safety, reliability, and enjoyment

Yes, Nitrox is available and can be provided at a rate of 200,000 IDR per fill for three tanks. The boat is equipped with 2024 BAUER Poseidon air compressors, maintaining a Nitrox mixture with an average of 32%. Using Nitrox can enhance dive safety and improve bottom time for those who are certified

Komodo National Park in eastern Indonesia is renowned for its beautiful landscapes, crystal clear waters and captivating wildlife including the world famous Komodo dragons. Flying to Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali, the nearest major international gateway, is required to get to Komodo. A domestic flight from Bali to Labuan Bajo, which serves as the principal gateway to Komodo National Park, is what visitors from Bali have to take. The journey from Bali to Labuan Bajo takes around 1 hour and 30 minutes, with frequent flights operated by several airlines. The flight itself is an amazing bird's-eye view of the Indonesian archipelago

The ideal time to visit Komodo Island varies according to your activities. The dry season, April to October, is ideal for diving, snorkeling, and wildlife spotting. This period provides calm seas, sunny skies, and excellent visibility, perfect for manta ray, shark, and coral reef sightings. July and August are high seasons with more visitors and higher prices for accommodations.

Travelers seeking fewer crowds and lush green landscapes might prefer visiting during the rainy season, from November to March. While some boat tours may be limited by rough seas, particularly in January and February, this period offers better chances of spotting Komodo dragons. Manta rays are often seen in large numbers between December and February, and September to November provides incredible underwater biodiversity.
For the best general experience with favorable weather, good diving conditions, and fewer visitors, April to June and September to November are the ideal time frames
