Let take the journey
For no frill Liveaboard and less guest w intimate experience Gaya Baru Indah is great. The crew was very professional and friendly, a bit shy. The boat is going to dry dock after my safari, so, it will look lovely. Love having FREE nitrox! And, the food is decent. They adjust the menu to accommodate guests food allergies and remember it from day #1. The DM adjusted my diving experience , so, I dove w the cruise director 50% of the time. Cause the diver in our group was taking macro in R4 w great and famous dive site took longer to take his pictures. I’m glad the DM/cruise director acknowledged it so that everyone can enjoy their dives. Also, they try to help you get back on the zodiac since there’s no ladder. I had trouble jumping into the zodiac, a fish out of water… We also did 3 land tours: pearl factory, Pieynemo hike, and a beach sunset. Where they are lacking in luxury they provide good service. With the boat going to dry dock, I’m sure they will fix the minor issues like fans and cosmetic structures of boat.

Simplicity and honesty for true diving experience
Crew and diving guiding at Gaya Baru Indah is very knowledgeable and helpful. Ralf keeps record of dives to show spots and investigates to keep discovering together in variety of landscapes. Safety is well observed and equipment is good. The ship is comfortable, simple and efficient. Food is delicious with local products and local dishes. All in all, I believe it is an honest life aboard, truly committed to nature and focused on diving. The team is perfectly coordinated and the whole experience and diving has been awesome! I fully recommend this team!
