Nusantara Liveaboard, Indonesia
5.0Excellent1 verified reviewThe dive deck at the back of the diving boat is spacious, allowing divers to gear up and jump straight off the platform. After diving, guests can rinse off in one of the two bathrooms equipped with western-style toilets and showers. The main deck includes a large dining area, perfect for socializing and enjoying meals, while the top deck offers a vast sun deck with both shaded and sunny areas for napping or relaxing on comfortable beanbags.
Accommodation on the liveaboard includes a dorm cabin below deck, which sleeps 8, and 4 mattresses above deck for sleeping under the stars. The dorm beds are equipped with privacy curtains, fans, lights, power sockets, and ample storage space. After diving, passengers can enjoy the crew’s guitar playing or relax with a cold drink while watching the sunset over the stunning Komodo National Park landscape.
The liveaboard diving itineraries focus on the best dive sites of Komodo National Park Indonesia, including well-known spots such as Manta Point, Batu Bolong, and muck diving at Wainilu. The region is renowned for its breathtaking marine biodiversity and offers divers the chance to see reef sharks, turtles, and large schools of fish. The vibrant coral reefs, covered in colorful soft and hard corals, create a stunning backdrop for each dive.
Scuba dive adventures on this boat provide the chance to see an array of marine life, from reef sharks resting on the sandy bottom to massive schools of bumphead parrotfish. Night dives in Komodo are a highlight, offering opportunities to spot fascinating macro life such as colorful nudibranchs, ribbon eels, and bobtail squid. The vastness of Komodo ensures that no matter where the boat anchors, divers will encounter a stunning array of species.
One of the standout experiences is manta ray diving. There are several sites in Komodo where manta rays are seen almost daily, gracefully gliding through the water, performing barrel rolls, and interacting with divers at cleaning stations.
Whether you are looking for scuba diving holidays or liveaboard diving trips, Nusantara offers an exceptional and budget-friendly way to explore Komodo National Park. The scuba liveaboard experience ensures that you can dive some of the world’s best reefs while enjoying the comfort and charm of this traditional Phinisi vessel
