Itineraries

Manta X liveaboard Indonesia offers itineraries across Raja Ampat and Misool, Triton Bay, Fak Fak and Misool, and Komodo North and South. The routes combine coral gardens, manta areas, hard coral sites, whale shark snorkelling opportunities, volcanic-style landscapes, wreck-style topography, and current-swept Komodo diving.

Raja Ampat and Misool

The Raja Ampat and Misool itinerary starts in Sorong, with guests transferred from Sorong Airport or a local hotel to the vessel. If arrivals are early enough, a check dive may take place at Red Light District, also known as Lampu Merah, just outside Sorong.

Misool diving includes the Daram Islands and Boo area, where coral gardens and mild currents shape the underwater experience. The Warakaraket and Fiabacet areas are visited in search of manta rays, while the Wayil area includes world-class dive sites such as Four Kings.

The route may continue through North Misool or Central Raja Ampat, depending on conditions, before reaching Piaynemo. Here, divers can explore iconic sites such as Melissa’s Garden, described as a pristine hard coral garden. A short trek to a viewpoint gives guests a bird’s-eye view of the limestone islands of Raja Ampat.

The final diving area is Dampier Strait, including the Kri area, with sites such as Cape Kri and Sardine Run. The vessel then returns to Sorong harbour for the last night on board.

Komodo North and South

Komodo North and South itineraries are available in 7-day, 6-night; 8-day, 7-night; 9-day, 8-night; and 10-day, 9-night formats. Komodo National Park is described as one of Indonesia’s most iconic diving destinations, with adrenaline-filled dives, coral reefs, scenery, and the Komodo dragon.

The 7-day, 6-night sample itinerary begins with transfer from Komodo Airport or a local hotel to the vessel. Depending on arrival time, check dives may take place at Bidadari, with a night dive at Pulau Sebayor.

South Komodo includes Manta Alley, where divers may encounter mantas, along with Cannibal Rock and Torpedo Alley at Nusa Kode. North Komodo diving includes Castle Rock, Crystal Rock, and Shot Gun at Gili Lawa Laut, with pinnacles, drift dives, hunting fish, jacks, and sharks.

Additional North Komodo sites include Tatawa Besar and Kecil, Siaba Kecil, Wainilu, Batu Balong, Mantas on the Moon at Makassar Reef, Siaba Bay, Mawan, and Pengah. Divers may encounter mantas, sharks, turtles, eagle rays, dolphins, anthias, Napoleon wrasse, and macro life in the southern areas of the park.

The itinerary also includes a walk in search of Komodo dragons and trekking on one of the local islands before the vessel returns to Labuan Bajo for the final night
