This Indonesia liveaboard offers a contemporary diving experience across the region’s premier underwater destinations. Built in 2019, this 41-meter phinisi combines modern design with traditional craftsmanship, creating a spacious and comfortable environment for up to 11 guests. The vessel features five cabins, including a master suite, twin cabins, and double cabins, each equipped with air-conditioning, an expansive en-suite bathroom, fine linens, and a state-of-the-art TV and media system.

Day 1:
Departure from our resort, Kalimaya Dive Resort, in Sape, which offers a private pier—perfect for boarding Fenides Liveaboard. The nearest airport is Bima Airport, where we will pick you up and transfer you to our private pier for boarding.
Dive Sites visited during your trip (weather, currents, guest experience, and preferences permitting):
Saneang volcano: Black sand “Lembeh style” macro, volcanic underwater activities (bubble reef), high-contrast coral gardens, visits to a traditional boat-building village, sunset/sunrise trekking, and wild bird of prey sightings. A top spot for underwater photography!
Gili Banta: Iconic private, endless white sand beaches, sunset viewpoints, multiple dive sites with manta rays and sharks, and some of the most colorful coral reefs in the region. Ideal for a beach BBQ and leisure time.
Sape channel: High-energy diving with big fish encounters. Most sites are between Sumbawa and Komodo, with present currents shaping the dives. Sharks, tunas, GTs, and large pelagics are common here; blue whales have even been sighted migrating through. Bonus: the secret canyon/cave dive site!
Pulau Kelapa (Coconut Island): Postcard-worthy diving with crystal-clear water, stunning reef topography, overhangs, walls, and ledges. Perfect for sunrise hikes and photography at Seagull Rock, one of Indonesia's best dive sites.
West Komodo Coastline: Wild, rugged landscapes above and below water, earning it the title "Galapagos of Asia." Known for epic wall dives, pinnacles, and wild Komodo dragons on the beaches. The exact location is a well-kept secret.
South Komodo: Known as “The End of the World,” this area has cooler waters often frequented by mantas, mola molas, and large ocean animals migrating from Australia to Northern Asia. A diverse range of big marine animals may be spotted.
Nusa Kode (Horseshoe Bay): Reserved for the few adventurous boats exploring Komodo, this underrated bay offers excellent macro sites and wall diving. Known sites include Cannibal Rock and Torpedo Point.
Padar Island and Central Komodo: Highly photogenic landscapes and well-known dive sites like Batu Bolong, Siaba, and Tatawa, which offer diverse marine life and vast coral coverage. Turtles and sharks are common on nearly every dive.
North Komodo: Underwater mountains, strong currents, and big fish encounters define this region, including “Current City” with the famous “Triple C” dive sites - Castle Rock, Crystal Rock, and Cauldron - frequented by sharks and large pelagics.
Departure on last day:
Fenides Liveaboard will conclude this amazing tour in Labuan Bajo harbor, where guests can check out and be transferred to a hotel in Labuan Bajo or Labuan Bajo Airport.

Program
Day 1:
Pick up at your hotel or the airport in Sorong. Settle in onboard with a welcome drink and a brief introduction to the boat and safety on board.
Cruise to Wasai, Waigeo, a navigation of approximately 6 hours.
This allows time to get acquainted with the ship, set up your dive gear and cameras, and meet the other guests and friendly crew.
After arriving in Wasai, we head for our first check dive.
Day 2:
We spend the day in the Waigeo area, exploring the many islets and small bays, with plenty of undiscovered dive sites.
The Dampier Strait offers a huge variety of diving, from giant mantas to mangroves, beautiful reefs, and pinnacles teeming with schooling fish, sweetlips, barracudas, bumphead parrotfish, fusiliers, and wobbegong sharks. It’s also great for critters, with pygmy seahorses and various nudibranchs.
There are also jetties for night dives, where you can spot Raja epaulette sharks, toadfish, frogfish, and crocodile fish.
Day 3 & 4:
We dive in Dampier Strait and Gam, home to famous sites like Blue Magic, Cape Kri, Manta Sandy, and Manta Ridge.
Strong currents in Dampier bring diverse marine life, creating an exciting underwater experience. You may even feel like you're swimming in a "fish soup" with graceful rays.
A visit to Arborek Pier for a cultural experience is also planned.
At the end of day 4, we sail towards Wayag.
Day 5:
Wayag, the northernmost marine protected area in the Birds Head Peninsula, is a full day of exploration.
Dive sites range from adrenaline-pumping drift dives to relaxed swim-throughs covered in hard corals.
An on-land hike to scenic viewpoints is also included, offering stunning vistas.
There are at least 11 named dive sites in this area, with plenty more waiting to be discovered. A special experience includes swimming with baby blacktip reef sharks in shallow waters off the beach.
Day 6 & 7:
Penemu features strong currents coming from Dampier Strait, bringing nutrient-rich waters.
Barracuda is an oval-shaped reef where large schools of fish, especially barracudas, gather.
Galaxy offers vibrant corals and diverse macro life, including nudibranchs, shrimps, and eels.
My Reef is known for wobbegong sharks and blacktip reef sharks, with currents playing an important role in dive planning.
Day 8:
We sail back to Sorong, with no diving planned for the day.
Enjoy the rooftop bar and review dive experiences with the guides while logging dives and sharing pictures.
After a farewell lunch and debriefing, guests disembark with lifelong memories.

The afternoon is dedicated to orientation dives in Kalabahi Bay, famous for its exceptional muck diving
DAY 2
The Alor Strait is one of Indonesia’s most dynamic dive regions, shaped by powerful through-flow currents and dramatic temperature shifts. Expect vibrant coral slopes, schooling fish, and the possibility of pelagic surprises. Thermoclines can dip dramatically here, and with them sometimes come mola mola and larger deep-water visitors. In the afternoon, we cross toward Pantar, with a chance of spotting dolphins or pilot whales along the way
DAY 3
We continue exploring the Alor region, crossing toward Pantar Island where the through-flow currents sustain vibrant reefs and dramatic underwater topography. Sites such as Cathedral and Pantar Wall showcase healthy coral growth and schooling fish activity. Whale sharks are occasionally sighted in these nutrient-rich waters. Following two to three dives, we begin our cruise toward the remote volcanic island of Komba
DAY 4
Komba offers some of the most unique diving on the route. The underwater landscape combines black volcanic sand, bubbling sulphur vents, dense coral growth, and current-fed reef systems. Up to three dives are planned here, with opportunities for exploration-style diving depending on conditions. The remoteness of Komba often delivers pristine reefs and excellent fish density. In the late afternoon, we continue west along the north coast of Flores.
DAY 5
As we travel along the Flores coastline, the scenery above and below the water remains striking. This region is also known for marine mammal sightings, including dolphins, pilot whales, and occasionally blue whales during migration periods. Diving today may include sites near Lemata and Maumere, featuring coral walls, slopes, and channels rich in reef fish and macro life. Three dives are scheduled before an evening cruise toward 17 Islands National Park
DAY 6
Today, we dive into the waters of the Seventeen Islands Marine Park near Riung, a scenic archipelago of limestone islands and protected reefs. Expect relaxed conditions, coral-covered slopes, turtles, reef sharks, and abundant reef fish. This is a gentler contrast to Alor and a natural transition before the stronger currents of Komodo National Park.
Two to three dives are planned. In the late afternoon, we begin our overnight crossing west, arriving in Komodo at first light, ready for the next chapter of the expedition
DAY 7
Central Komodo offers slightly more protected waters while maintaining exceptional biodiversity. Dive highlights may include: Batu Bolong – A coral-encrusted pinnacle rising from deep water, often described as a natural aquarium. Manta Point – A cleaning and feeding station where manta rays gather in season. Three dives are scheduled, concluding the diving portion of the expedition.
DAY 8
In the early morning, we visit either Komodo Island or Rinca Island for a guided walk to observe the legendary Komodo dragons in their natural habitat. After breakfast, we cruise back to Labuan Bajo for disembarkation with memories that will last a lifetime!

South Komodo, often called “The End of the World,” sees migrations of large marine animals from Australia. This day is spent in Central Komodo National Park with diverse dive sites chosen based on availability and group preferences. An afternoon hike on Rinca allows close encounters with Komodo dragons, followed by a stunning sunset as thousands of flying foxes migrate between Komodo and Flores.
Day 5:
Departure.
After a farewell breakfast and debriefing, guests disembark with memories that will last a lifetime.

Program
Day 1:
Pick up at your hotel or the airport in Sorong. Settle in onboard with a welcome drink and a brief introduction to the boat and onboard safety.
Cruise to Wasai, Waigeo, approximately a 6-hour navigation. This time allows you to get acquainted with the ship, set up your dive gear and cameras, and socialize with other guests and the crew.
After arriving in Wasai, we will head for our first check dive.
Day 2:
We spend the day in the Waigeo area, exploring numerous islets and small bays, many still undiscovered.
The Dampier Strait is known for diverse marine life, from giant mantas to mangroves, beautiful reefs, and pinnacles teeming with schooling fish, sweetlips, barracudas, bumphead parrotfish, fusiliers, and wobbegong sharks. It's also great for macro subjects like pygmy seahorses and nudibranchs.
Night dives at nearby jetties reveal Raja epaulette sharks, toadfish, frogfish, and crocodile fish.
Day 3 - 4:
Our next stop is Dampier Strait and Gam, home to renowned dive sites like “Blue Magic,” “Cape Kri,” “Manta Sandy,” and “Manta Ridge.”
The area’s currents attract an impressive variety of marine life. An on-land visit to Arborek Pier is planned.
At the end of day 4, we sail northward toward Wayag.
Day 5:
Wayag, the northernmost marine protected area in the Bird’s Head Peninsula, offers stunning limestone cliffs and diverse dive sites, from thrilling drift dives to relaxed coral-covered swim-throughs.
We also plan an on-land hike to breathtaking viewpoints. A visit to a nearby beach allows a unique experience: swimming with baby blacktip reef sharks in shallow waters.
Day 6:
Penemu experiences strong currents from the Dampier Strait, bringing nutrient-rich waters to its shores.
Arriving early, we’ll complete four dives here, including sites like:
- Barracuda: An oval reef with schooling fish, especially barracudas.
- Galaxy: A reef with diverse corals and macro life, from nudibranchs to shrimps and eels.
- My Reef: Known for wobbegong sharks and blacktip reef sharks, this dive requires current planning.
Day 7 - 9:
Misool Island is one of the largest islands in Raja Ampat, with crystal-clear turquoise waters and striking limestone pinnacles.
Misool is ideal for wide-angle photographers and home to some of the world’s most beautiful soft coral reefs and numerous pinnacles surrounded by schooling fish, barracudas, jacks, and snappers.
Possible dive sites include:
- Daram: Less frequented, known for its exceptional dive sites.
- Andiamo: A vibrant reef with a pinnacle, frequented by reef sharks, barracudas, and bumphead parrotfish.
- Candy Store: Rich in sponges, soft corals, and a sandy valley filled with corals, wobbegong sharks, and turtles.
- Warna Beranda: A colorful, relaxed dive featuring critters like the pygmy seahorse.
- Balbulol: Submerged pinnacles and a hidden lagoon for SUP and kayaking excursions.
- Magic Mountain: A ridge hosting bannerfish, butterflyfish, snappers, and a cleaning station for oceanic manta rays.
- Boo Rock: Known for its “windows,” rounded openings that pierce the reef and host a diverse array of marine life.
- Wayilbatan: Diverse topography above and below water, with a scenic lagoon perfect for SUP and kayaking.
- Wedding Cake: A vibrant site with batfish, trevallies, barracudas, and pygmy seahorses.
- Farondi: Features tunnels, caverns, and a dramatic reef landscape with mobula rays.
Day 10:
We sail back to Sorong.
On this non-diving day, enjoy the rooftop bar and dive guides’ recaps for logbooks and photo sharing. After a farewell lunch and debriefing, guests are transferred to the airport or their hotel in Sorong.
Note: The last dive will be on the penultimate day of the trip. We recommend a 24-hour interval before flying after the last dive.

Cruise to Wasai, Waigeo a navigation of approximately 6 hours.
This will allow time for you to get acquainted with the ship, set up your dive gear & cameras, and meet and socialize with the other guests and friendly crew.
After arriving in Wasai we will head for our first check dive.
Day 2 & 3:
Our next stop is Dampier Straight and Gam.
This area houses world-renowned dive sites like “Blue Magic”, “Cape Kri”, “Manta Sandy” and “Manta Ridge”.
The topography of the Dampier allows the Indonesian throughflow to pass through, producing strong currents. As a result, you can see a diversity of marine life that you have never seen before.
You will chill with graceful rays and feel like you are swimming around in a fish soup!
A cultural on-land visit to Arborek Pier is also planned in this region.
Day 4:
Bacan.
Bacan island region offers a wide array of activities above and below the water. Beautiful beaches, waterfalls and more.
Dive sites here:
Batu Tajam: black tip, napoleon, big sweetlips. Ecuador: blacktip, big red scorpionfishes, Nudis, crabs, nice and quiet reef.
Lilai jetty: hectic current, black manta passing by near the jetty, bamboo sharks. Pipefish, crabs.
Day 5 & 6:
Pulau Pisang.
These are a set of two islands and two small rocks between Raja Ampat and Halmahera. You will spend the whole day here. The diving is pretty, with sloping reefs full of soft corals in the deeper areas and hard corals bommies in the shallows. When the currents are running, the dive sites can be very fishy, with schooling bumphead parrotfish, zillions of blue triggerfish, and dogtooth tunas passing by.
Day 7 & 8:
Patinti Strait.
The region around Patinti strait is well known for Saleh island, home to Sali Bay resort and the spectacular topography around. Castaway beaches and great dive sites
Most common are Giant trevallies, grey reef or black tips sharks, tunas, tasars, schools of fusiliers, and surgeons. Spectacular.
Dive sites:
Selat Proco: Blacktips, grey reef sharks, tasars, dogtooth tuna, mini canyons, and overhangs.
Saleh Besar drifts in the channel with a succession of mini canyons and rock blocks. Less big pelagics but very fishy. Jabu, vibrant coral reefs, inhabited by numerous “smalls” and others bigger. The South/southeast point is certainly the most spectacular.
Kusu: very nice garden coral, millions of glassfish, nice coral, Pygmy, leaf fish, school of sweetlips under a small rock, bamboo shark, and hundreds of reef fish Pulau Pokal, high rock right in the middle of the channel, long plateau at approximately 30 meters.
Saleh Kecil, splendid corals, tortured topography, and big fish for this dive!
Pulau Nanas: very nice spot with beautiful and colorful coral. Glass fish schools, various Nudis, blue hairy crab, lobster, scorpionfish, crocodile fish
Day 9-10:
Ternate region
Diving in Ternate in North Ternate, we dive at Hiri Island, at this site we can find a large population of barracuda schooling, dugong, dolphins, reef sharks, turtles, and walls with exceptional visibility of 30-40 m. However, Hiri Island has a relatively strong current. Those who do not enjoy diving in the current can dive in black sand-Sulamadaha and Jikomalamo with white sand, have a dense coral garden, soft coral, turtles, bump head schooling, and other pelagic fish.
Diving the Km Pari Wreck: one of the shipwrecks on the depth of 12-20m, also 3 buses that serve as a fish house. At night you can see the endemic fish of Walking Shark (walking Shark / Hemiscyllium Halmahera). More south: a very unique bottom structured with some big pinnacles, and a mini cave found in a depth of ± 27 m and exit at 30 m. Also, a wall filled with colorful small fish, and sharks, stingrays, and nudibranchs are also often can be found here.
Day 11:
Sail to Ternate.
On our last day, we will not be doing any diving as we cruise back to Ternate but the rooftop bar will be stocked ready and the dive guides will be ready to give detailed run downs of what we saw for logbooks and picture-sharing.
After a farewell lunch and debriefing customers leave the boat with memories that will last a lifetime!

As soon as all guests have arrived on board, we will cruise to the North Ternate region for our first trial dive. We aim to do 1-2 dives depending on check-in.
Day 2 & 3:
Diving in Ternate. We plan to dive at Hiri Island, at this site we can find a large population of barracuda schooling, dugong, dolphins, reef sharks, turtles, and walls with exceptional visibility of 30-40 m.
