King Neptune is a 46-meter (150-foot) steel and aluminum-hulled luxury liveaboard, the newest addition to the Neptune Liveaboards fleet. Designed specifically for world-class diving in Indonesia, this vessel combines modern engineering with elegant comfort. With a cruising speed of 10 knots and a range of 3,000 nautical miles, King Neptune is ready for extended expeditions to remote dive destinations like Raja Ampat, Komodo, and the Banda Sea.

Accommodation

The yacht accommodates up to 22 guests in 10 en-suite cabins, each located on the main or upper deck for panoramic sea views. Cabins feature individually controlled air conditioning, ample storage, and a choice of king or twin bed configurations. Ideal for group leaders or dive professionals. Every cabin offers a private bathroom with shower, fresh towels, and thoughtful amenities to ensure a comfortable stay.

Sea View Cabin Main Deck

Located on the main deck, these cabins feature a king bed or twin configuration, en-suite bathroom, individually controlled air conditioning, and panoramic sea views.

Sea View Cabin Upper Deck

Situated on the upper deck, these cabins offer king or twin bedding, a private en-suite bathroom, air conditioning, and large windows overlooking the ocean.

Sea View Bunk Bed Cabin

Located on the upper deck, this cabin can be configured with either a single bed or two bunk beds, making it a versatile option for solo travelers or groups. Includes en-suite bathroom and air conditioning.

Diving & Facilities

Diving is at the heart of the King Neptune experience. The vessel carries two 8-meter RHIB tenders powered by 150HP engines, allowing fast and efficient access to dive sites. A dedicated dive deck provides personal storage space, warm freshwater showers, and rinse hoses for equipment. Nitrox is available through a Coltri membrane system, supported by two Coltri 315 compressors. DIN adaptors, and 15L tanks (additional cost) cater to both recreational and advanced divers.

Onboard Comfort & Services

King Neptune is crewed by a professional team of 20, including dive guides, engineers, and hospitality staff. Guests enjoy a spacious indoor saloon with air conditioning and audio/visual entertainment, an open-air sun deck with loungers, and a hot tub to unwind after dives. Meals are served buffet style, blending local Indonesian flavors with international cuisine, and special dietary requirements can be accommodated. The bar offers alcoholic beverages, and snacks are available throughout the day.

Safety & Navigation

Built to the highest safety standards, King Neptune is equipped with radar, GPS tracking, VHF/DSC/SSB radio, EPIRB, life rafts, life jackets, fire‑fighting equipment, first aid kits, and onboard oxygen. The crew is trained in first aid and emergency response, ensuring peace of mind during your voyage.

Sustainability & Independence

For extended liveaboard trips, King Neptune carries 45,000 liters of fresh water and produces an additional 10 tons per day via a watermaker. Fuel capacity is 40,000 liters, allowing long expeditions without reliance on shore facilities. Wi‑Fi is available (free and paid options) so you can stay connected while at sea.

When is the best time to go on a liveaboard in Indonesia?

The best time depends on the region. Generally, the dry season from April to October is best for Komodo, while the prime season for Raja Ampat is from October to March. The Banda Sea is best visited from September to October for the Hammerhead migration

How far in advance should I book the liveaboard?

Liveaboard trips in popular destinations like Komodo, Raja Ampat, and the Banda Sea tend to sell out 6 months to 1 year in advance. It is recommended to reserve your spot early

What is the minimum dive experience?

The minimum dive experience is Advanced Open Water certification (or equivalent) with a minimum of 25 logged dives, due to deeper dive sites and potential challenging currents

What are the included extras?

South Komodo (4 dives) - Dive iconic sites like Manta Alley, Loh Sera Bay, and Piggy Beach. Expect manta rays, stunning coral, and cool waters.

Day 4:

3 dives – Pulau Tifore: Dive into dramatic drop-offs and fascinating muck sites. Expect encounters with colorful nudibranchs, schooling fusiliers, and the occasional pelagic species cruising by.

Day 3:
3 dives – Pulau Moti: An underwater haven of steep walls, coral gardens, and schooling pelagics. Marvel at the pinnacles and rich biodiversity that make this area a diver’s delight.

Day 4:
4 dives – Goraici Islands: Explore pristine reefs, vertical drop-offs, and visit a well-known manta ray cleaning station. The area offers both scenic wide-angle views and close-up critter encounters.

Day 5:
4 dives – Pulau Kusu: Witness large schools of barracuda, tuna, and trevallies in the blue. Reef sharks and rays often glide through the currents on these exhilarating dives.

Day 6:
3 dives – Saleh Area: A mix of coral-covered pinnacles, steep walls, canyons, and sloping reefs all teeming with marine life make this an excellent all-round dive day.

Day 7:
4 dives – Pasir Karo: Encounter reef sharks, barracudas, and big schools of fusiliers. Macro highlights may include ghost pipefish, pygmy seahorses, and a variety of nudibranchs.

Day 8:
2 dives – Makian: Famous for its muck diving, Makian delivers rare macro life—flamboyant cuttlefish, mimic octopus, hairy frogfish, and an array of vibrant nudibranchs. After 2 scheduled dives, we will sail back to Ternate.

Day 9:  Check-out from the yacht, group transfer to the airport.

4 dives - world-class macro day. Hunt for hairy frogfish, mimic octopus, and the stunning flamboyant cuttlefish.

Day 3:
3 dives - blue water action at Barracuda Point. Experience a massive barracuda tornado and cruising grey reef sharks.

Day 4:
3 dives - vibrant walls and pinnacles. See massive Napoleon wrasse and schools of bumphead parrotfish among soft corals.

Day 5:
4 Dives - shark action at Napo Gorango. Expect backtip reef sharks and a night dive for hunting bobtail squid.

Day 6:
3 dives - High-energy ridges. Spot tuna and trevally in the currents and pygmy seahorses on the fans.

Day 7:
3 dives - stunning coral gardens. Thousands of anthias swarm the reef while blacktip sharks patrol the blue.

Day 8:
2 dives - volcanic slopes at Palajawa. Final chance to spot the endemic Halmahera walking shark before docking.

Day 1: Meet & greet at the airport. Group transfer to the port. Onboarding, meeting the crew & briefing. A check dive may be conducted, depending on the arrival time of the last guest. Begin sailing to Misool.

Day 2:
3 dives – Misool Balbulol: Immerse yourself in diving paradise - Raja Ampat, the world’s richest and most biodiverse dive destination. After diving, visit the famous Jellyfish Lake in Balbulol, where you can swim among these mesmerizing and harmless creatures.

Day 3:
4 dives – Misool Daram: Dive through picturesque coral gardens teeming with life - an underwater wonderland.

Day 4:
4 dives – Misool Fiabacet & Boo: Encounter schools of sweepers, glassfish, juvenile fusiliers, and damsels streaming through the currents in some of Raja Ampat’s most iconic reefscapes.

Day 5:
3 dives – Misool Wayil: Explore pristine coral reefs and dramatic underwater terrain, alive with fusiliers, snappers, and anthias. After diving, trek to Love Lagoon—a naturally heart-shaped lagoon nestled in karst formations. Sail onward to Nampale.

Day 6:
3 dives – Misool Nampale: Located northwest of Misool Island, the Blue Water Mangroves offer unique diving among mangrove roots, where soft corals thrive and critters hide. Sail to Pisang after diving.

Day 7:
3 dives – Pisang Islands: Dive into vibrant hard and soft coral gardens, home to schooling fish and fascinating macro life such as nudibranchs, pygmy seahorses, and more.

Day 8:
3 dives – Orang Kaya & Ganone: Swim alongside schools of fusiliers, snapper, and batfish. Keep an eye out for moray eels, cuttlefish, nudibranchs, reef sharks, eagle rays, and the occasional manta gliding through deeper waters.

Day 9:
3 dives – Pantinti Strait: Expect thrilling current dives with sightings of barracudas, tuna, and trevallies, as well as reef sharks and rays patrolling the depths.

Day 10:
2 dives – Makian: Finish your diving adventure with two dives at stunning muck sites. Look out for flamboyant cuttlefish, mimic octopuses, hairy frogfish, and vibrant nudibranchs. After diving, sail back to Ternate.

Day 11:  Check-out from the yacht, group transfer to the airport.
