Waigeo is one of Raja Ampat’s main islands, surrounded by reefs, mangroves, channels, and fish-rich slopes. It offers some of Indonesia’s most biodiverse reef diving.

What to see

Soft corals, hard corals, reef fish, wobbegong sharks, turtles, rays, sweetlips, fusiliers, and schooling fish may be seen.

When To Go Diving

Raja Ampat is generally best from October to April. Water is usually around 27–30°C, with visibility often 15–30 metres.
