Lighthouse is located in the North of Komodo Island, on the northeastern point of Gili Lawa Laut. It is a great reef slope that offers a gentle drift dive with many rocky outcroppings divers have a chance to explore. At this spot two main currents of Komodo East converge, making it a bit complicated to navigate around the rocky peninsula in strong current.

When To Go Diving

Diving can be done any time of the year. The average water temperature ranges from 23C/73F to 28C/82F.

What to see

The slope is covered with beautiful hard corals mixed with black corals and soft coral bushes. In numerous crevices divers can observe a variety of macro life, including juvenile emperor angelfish, lobster, nudibranchs, shrimp and other species. Blacktip and whitetip sharks, huge Napoleon wrasses, giant trevallies and morays, as well as groupers, large sweetlips and turtles can be spotted here.
