Carpe Diem Phinisi Liveaboard, Indonesia

from
USD
312
per day
Four-cabin layout with departures limited to 8 guests
Pala main-deck cabin spanning almost the full width of the boat
Balanced diving rhythm with typically 2–3 dives per day and occasional night dives
Designed and operated for small groups, the Carpe Diem Phinisi is a traditional Indonesian two-masted sailing vessel (a Phinisi, rigged in a gaff-ketch style). Built from wood and run with an intentionally low guest count, the onboard atmosphere is set up for unhurried days: time in the water, time on deck, and time ashore when conditions suit.

Cabin Types

With only four guest cabins, the maximum number of guests onboard of Capre Dieam Phinisi liveaboard is limited to 10, and typical operations are described with a maximum of 8 guests. All cabins are en-suite with shower, sink, and toilet, and each has an individual air conditioner. Natural light is a consistent theme across the staterooms, coming from portholes, skylights, windows, or a combination. Every cabin includes a desk, chair, and ample storage space.

Pala (Nutmeg)

A large double cabin on the main deck level, spanning almost the entire width of the boat. Large forward-facing windows and a skylight bring in daylight, and the cabin has an en-suite separate shower and bathroom, plus individually controlled air conditioning.

Cengkeh (Clove)

Located on the lower deck, this cabin can be arranged as a twin or converted to a double, with twin single beds designed to join. Natural light and ventilation come from a porthole and a large skylight. An en-suite combined shower and toilet serves the cabin and has individually controlled air conditioning.

Pandan and Kayu Manis (Cinnamon)

Two mirror-image cabins on the lower deck, arranged for up to three guests in a double/single bunk configuration, and also usable for two single guests. Each has individually controlled air conditioning, natural light, and ventilation via a porthole and skylight, and an en-suite combined shower and toilet.

Boat Interior

Inside the main deckhouse, a well-appointed saloon is arranged around a large 10-seater table where guests can relax. Meals can also be served here when weather prevents alfresco dining. An onboard library is kept in the saloon, with numerous books available for guests.

Social Deck Space

Forward of the deckhouse, an open deck area is typically used for alfresco dining and relaxing, and it has also been used as a yoga space. The deck area on top of the deckhouse offers another outdoor spot for quiet time and sea views.

Food & Drinks

Menus are prepared using locally sourced fresh ingredients and are cooked onboard by the chef, with oversight from Cecile. Seafood may be sourced from local fishermen when available. Alcoholic drinks are offered at reasonable prices, and bringing duty-free alcohol is also mentioned. Dietary needs can be accommodated when shared in advance, with the note that remote operations can limit access to very specific ingredients.

Diving

Diving is described as a balanced approach rather than a “diving factory” schedule. There is no stated average, but typically 2 or 3 dives are available per day, with occasional night dives. How many dives a guest does is left flexible, and time ashore is also part of the rhythm through walks and excursions. Use of onboard diving equipment is included, with 12 full sets carried, and guests may also bring their own kit. A logbook and certification are required to dive.

Safety

Safety equipment listed includes life rafts, life jackets, life rings, sea radio, EPIRB, VHF radio, HF/MF radio, Garmin Inreach, satellite communications, visual and audio signalling devices (including flares and horns), fire extinguishers, fire suppressant devices, smoke detectors, emergency oxygen, and first aid and trauma kits

Itineraries

Carpe Diem Phinisi operates year-round expeditions across several diving destinations of Indonesia, combining diving, sailing, and land exploration depending on destination and seasonal conditions. Routes may begin or end in ports such as Ambon, Labuan Bajo, Sorong, or Waisai, depending on the chosen cruise. The order of dive sites and activities can change according to weather, National Park regulations, diver experience levels, and operational considerations.

Banda Sea — Ambon to Ambon

Banda Sea diving expeditions focus on remote island exploration and seasonal pelagic encounters. Trips begin in Ambon Bay, where macro life thrives alongside human activity, offering a distinctive start to the journey. From there, the route continues to Nusa Luat, known for coral gardens, underwater caves, and turtle encounters across multiple dive sites.
In Banda Neira, diving is paired with historical exploration, including visits to Fort Belgica, reflecting the region’s role during the 17th-century spice trade conflicts. Sunset dives may include searches for Mandarin fish. Run Island introduces deeper drop-offs and pelagic opportunities, appealing particularly to underwater photographers.
Hammerhead shark migrations typically occur between October and December, with smaller numbers reported from March to May, offering seasonal opportunities for encounters during Banda Sea crossings.

Komodo, Flores and Rinca

Komodo itineraries combine diving with land excursions across Flores and Komodo National Park. A sample seven-night cruise begins in Labuan Bajo with a check dive and optional night dive before moving through sites such as Sebayor, Tatawa Besar, and Gili Lawa, recognised for colourful coral formations.
Central Komodo dives include locations such as Tatawa Kecil, Mawan, and Shotgun, followed by Batu Bolong and Karang Makassar, where manta rays may be encountered. South Rinca adds further multi-dive days, while shore visits include trekking opportunities to observe Komodo dragons at ranger stations. Evenings may feature island stops such as Padar or Kelor for sunsets and beach time.
Diving typically concludes around midday on the penultimate day to allow a recommended 24-hour surface interval before flying.

Raja Ampat

Raja Ampat cruises explore one of the most biodiverse marine regions on Earth, home to hundreds of coral species, reef fish, and mollusks across vast island systems. Several route variations are offered, including Central, Central and North, Central and South (including Misool), and longer Ultimate Raja Ampat itineraries combining all regions.
Trips departing Sorong begin with onboard briefings before sailing toward the Dampier Strait, where strong currents attract schooling fish, wobbegong sharks, and pygmy seahorses. Manta ray areas and Wofo reefs follow before visits to iconic limestone landscapes such as Wayag and Piaynemo.
Southern Raja Ampat dives focus on Misool’s contrasting scenery, sea fans, and endemic macro life. Lagoon exploration, beaches, caves, and non-diving excursions may also form part of the journey depending on conditions.

Kalimantan — Derawan Archipelago

Kalimantan expeditions begin and end at Derawan Island, where shallow lagoons attract turtles, stingrays, and occasional whale sharks. Sangalaki Island is known for manta ray encounters alongside dolphins and reef sharks.
Kakaban Island offers snorkeling opportunities in a brackish lake inhabited by stingless jellyfish, while Maratua Island features walls, caves, channels, and atoll diving where hammerheads, eagle rays, schooling fish, and macro species may be encountered.
The recommended diving season runs from April through October, when calmer seas and dry weather conditions are typical.

Halmahera and Surrounding Islands

Halmahera itineraries explore a remote region positioned within the Coral Triangle. Diving includes walls and pinnacles influenced by strong currents supporting extensive biodiversity, including hundreds of coral and fish species.
Nearby volcanic islands such as Ternate and Tidore feature slopes covered in soft corals and sea fans inhabited by nudibranchs and ghost pipefish, while pelagic species such as tuna, trevally, and barracuda patrol open water.
Further south, the Goraici Archipelago offers macro-focused reefs maintained by local conservation efforts. Bacan and the Patinti Strait provide drift diving through current-fed channels, vertical walls, and largely unexplored underwater terrain suited to adventurous divers seeking remote environments

IMPORTANT NOTE
Since July 2025, we have been instructed not to go to the most northerly Islands.
First, a little background… In the summer of 2025, there were some reports that mining activity was taking place on some of the islands in North Raja Ampat.
Given that Raja Ampat is a unique ecosystem, this obviously raised some concerns both domestically and internationally, and there was quite a lot of negative press on the subject, so much so that the Indonesian Government revoked 4 of the 5 mining licenses (which were also deemed to have been granted illegally in the first place).
This decision has not been welcomed by some of the locals who had been working at these mining sites.
Some of the more militant of these locals have decided to protest this decision by trying to disrupt both Liveaboard operations and the operations of local day trip boats.
The Government has stepped in to try and resolve the problem; however, until the situation is properly resolved, we have been instructed not to visit the more Northerly areas of Raja Ampat, namely Wayag and Wofo.
We must respect this instruction by the Government as it, like us, prioritises the safety of our guests and crew.
Therefore, your itinerary may not include Wayag and Wofo if the situation has not been fully resolved by the time of your trip.
However, the total number of dives will be the same, and we will compensate by visiting other amazing dive sites and locations in the area.

DAY 4: WOFO & YANGEFO

DAY 5: MANTA SANDY & ARBOREK

Program

Rhinopias, frogfish, ghost pipefish, various octopus species, crustaceans, and an abundance of nudibranchs
Expect to see tuna, moray eels, and schools of vibrantly colored fish
Strong currents can add an extra thrill
Coral gardens are pristine, and the sloping reef becomes a wall
Day 1: Welcome (2 dives)
The crew will pick you up at the airport or your hotel and welcome you on board with drinks.
After safety and boat briefings, you'll be shown to your cabin to settle in and unpack.
We'll kick off with two muck dives around Laha in Ambon Bay, also known as the'Twilight Zone.'
Here, you'll encounter Rhinopias, frogfish, ghost pipefish, various octopus species, crustaceans, and an abundance of nudibranchs. Under the jetty legs and amid debris from fishing boats, you'll find striped catfish, silversides, and moray eels, along with Ambon and devil scorpionfish.
After these dives, we'll begin our overnight transit to Pulau Suanggi.

Day 2: Pulau Suanggi and Banda Neira (3 dives)
We arrive at Pulau Suanggi in the morning for two dives.
The deep pinnacles here form an oasis for pelagic fish and boast incredible coral reefs.
Expect to see tuna, moray eels, and schools of vibrantly colored fish, with the main attraction being the hammerhead sharks that frequently pass through.
After these dives, we'll head to Banda Neira for a quick shore excursion to visit Fort Belgica, the Museum, and a Nutmeg plantation. These islands, fought over by the Dutch, British, and Portuguese 400 years ago, played a pivotal role in the spice trade.
We'll wrap up the day with one more dive to spot the elusive Mandarin Fish, then proceed overnight to Pulau Manuk.

Day 3: Pulau Manuk (3 dives)
Pulau Manuk offers a unique underwater experience teeming with diverse marine life, including (and famously) sea snakes, schools of barracuda, trevally, and snappers.
Despite its rocky terrain and lack of coral formations, it's a haven for creatures like pygmy seahorses and nudibranchs.
Strong currents can add an extra thrill, making this a perfect spot for experienced divers.

Day 4: Pulau Run (3 dives)
Fun Fact: Run Island was traded by the British to the Dutch in 1667 in exchange for Manhattan, highlighting its historical significance.
Dive here to encounter a variety of marine creatures, including colorful fish, sea turtles, and occasional pelagic visitors.
The coral gardens are pristine, and the sloping reef becomes a wall covered in corals and sea fans, with the chance to spot passing Hammerheads.

Day 5: Banda Besar and Gunung Api (3 dives)
Depending on conditions, we might dive at several sites on Banda Besar.
Pohon Miring, on the northeast side, features strong currents, a swim through, and a sloping reef covered in corals down to 28 meters. Look for barrel sponges, sea fans, and large fish like tuna and bumphead parrotfish. The plateau's crevices hide scorpionfish and ghost pipefish.
Pantai Lanutu offers beautiful coral dive sites with hard coral reefs and walls covered in sea fans and barrel sponges.
Tanjung Cengkeh's steep slope is adorned with gorgonians, sponges, and soft corals down to 30+ meters, home to many colorful fish.
Batu Indah’s strong currents reveal ghost pipefish, banded pipefish, and more.
Tanjung Nama's wall is covered with sea fans and barrel sponges, inhabited by a variety of coloured fish.
Batu Belanda’s cave at 13 meters reveals soldierfish, nudibranchs, and gobies.
Gunung Api's northern lava flow hosts dense corals like table and bottle-brush corals, with larger fish like Napoleon wrasse and mobula rays visiting during upwelling conditions.

Day 6: Suanggi or Hatta (3 dives)
Depending on our hammerhead sightings from Day 2, we may return to Pulau Suanggi or dive at Hatta.
Hatta features a slope with brown soft corals and a vertical wall at 14 meters with huge sponges and soldierfish.
The deeper wall is frequented by eagle rays, snappers, and blacktip sharks.
A shallow reef flat bursts with colorful marine life, feather stars, triggerfish, and damselfish.

Day 7: Nusa Laut (2 dives)
Nusa Laut, east of Ambon, boasts vibrant coral reefs protected by locals.
Expect encounters with a diverse range of reef fish such as angelfish, butterflyfish, and parrotfish, with the possibility of seeing larger marine specieslike groupers and reef sharks.
After our final dives, we'll head back to Ambon.

Day 8: Ambon. After breakfast and some obligatory photos, it's time to say goodbye, with transfers arranged for you
The last dive will be completed on the penultimate day of the trip at around 12 pm.

Routes can be affected by adverse weather conditions and unforeseen events, force majeure or other similar reasons

Day 2: 3 dives in Sangalaki Island
Diving in Sangalaki
Diving in Sangalaki is a typically calm and elegant experience, defined by gentle drifts over sandy slopes and coral gardens where manta rays glide effortlessly through the water. The island is renowned for its year‑round manta population, and divers frequently encounter these graceful giants feeding or circling cleaning stations. Green turtles are abundant, resting on the reef or cruising past in the shallows, while eagle rays and cow tail rays add to the spectacle. The reefs also hide smaller treasures such as leaf scorpionfish, ribbon eels, and colourful nudibranchs. With excellent visibility and relaxed conditions, Sangalaki offers a beautiful introduction to the region’s marine life, complemented by the island’s active turtle nursery and the occasional offshore appearance of whale sharks.

Diving in Kakaban is a thrilling blend of dramatic walls, powerful currents, and rich marine biodiversity. The island’s outer ring features steep drop‑offs covered in soft corals, sponges, and sea fans, plunging into deep blue water where grey reef sharks, blacktips, and giant trevallies patrol. Barracuda Point is the highlight, famous for its swirling tornadoes of chevron barracuda and the pelagic hunters drawn in by the currents. Caverns and limestone swim‑throughs offer adventurous exploration, while calmer sites reveal ornate ghost pipefish, pygmy seahorses, and vibrant nudibranchs. Above the reef, Kakaban’s unique non‑stinging Jellyfish Lake provides a surreal snorkelling experience among millions of jellyfish that have evolved without predators for centuries.

Day 4: 3 dives in Talisayan with possible Whale Sharks
Diving in Talisayan
Diving in Talisayan centres around unforgettable encounters with whale sharks that gather beneath the traditional fishing platforms known as bagans. These gentle giants often linger in calm, shallow water, allowing long, relaxed interactions ideal for photography and observation. The dives here are simple and unhurried, with sandy bottoms and open water that let divers focus entirely on the whale sharks’ slow, graceful movements. Schools of fusiliers, jacks, and baitfish swirl around the platforms, creating a dynamic backdrop. The atmosphere is peaceful and intimate, offering one of Indonesia’s most accessible and rewarding whale shark experiences.

Day 5 and 6: 6 dives in Maratua
Diving in Maratua
Diving in Maratua is exhilarating, shaped by strong tidal flows, deep walls, and the famous Channel where incoming currents funnel an extraordinary concentration of marine life. The topography ranges from steep coral‑covered drop‑offs to plateaus where schooling fish gather in vast numbers. Divers can expect tornadoes of barracuda, bigeye trevallies, and batfish, along with grey reef sharks, blacktips, and the occasional thresher shark emerging from deeper water. Eagle rays glide past in formation, and turtles are a constant presence along the reef. Maratua delivers some of the most exciting big‑fish encounters in Indonesia, with its powerful currents and vibrant reefs creating unforgettable dives. Beyond the reef, the atoll hides an extensive network of caves, adding to its sense of mystery.

Day 7: 2 dives in Derawan
Diving in Derawan & Pulau Panjang
Diving in Derawan and Pulau Panjang is a treasure hunt for rare and fascinating macro life. The sandy slopes, rubble patches, and seagrass beds hide an astonishing array of critters, making this area a paradise for photographers and macro enthusiasts. Blue‑ring octopus, flamboyant cuttlefish, and mimic octopus emerge from the substrate, while harlequin shrimp, tiger shrimp, and ghost pipefish display their intricate patterns among the corals. Frogfish, pygmy seahorses, and unusual nudibranchs add to the diversity, ensuring every dive reveals something unexpected. Night dives are especially captivating, with bobtail squid, stargazers, and a bustling world of nocturnal creatures. This is a place where patience is rewarded and every dive feels like discovering a secret.

Program

Leaf scorpionfish, ghost pipefish, nudibranchs, and juvenile sweetlips
Macro enthusiasts can hunt for pygmy seahorses, ghost pipefish, and tiny crustaceans
Steep pinnacles rise from deep water, wrapped in soft corals, sponges, and whip corals
Ridges, channels, and boulder formations that create natural amphitheatres for fish action
Day 1 — Arrival in Kaimana & Karawawi Waterfall
Guests are met at 0700 in the morning, and we start proceedings with a welcome and safety briefing onboard as we set off on our adventure to the beautiful Karawawi Waterfall, a lush jungle oasis surrounded by towering limestone and cool freshwater pools. Later as the sun sets over the bay, the boat cruises gently toward the outer islands. No diving today — perfect for easing into the trip and preparing for the days ahead.

Day 2 — Adi Island: Gentle Slopes & Macro Treasures (3 dives)
Diving at Adi Island
The first diving day begins at Adi Island, a relaxed environment ideal for building comfort with a check dive after which the real diving begins with sites offering a mix of topographies ranging from submerged pinnacles to long coral slopes, scattered bommies, and sandy patches create a calm underwater landscape filled with macro life. Leaf scorpionfish, ghost pipefish, nudibranchs, and juvenile sweetlips hide among the corals, while turtles and schools of fusiliers drift through the shallows. It’s a wonderful introduction to the region and a photographer’s delight.

Day 3 — 6 Aiduma/Dramai and Triton Bay: (3 or 4 dives per day)
Diving in Aiduma Soft Coral Gardens & Dreamlike Reefs
Aiduma showcases Triton Bay’s signature beauty: bommies wrapped in pastel soft corals, forests of black coral, and sea fans large enough to frame entire schools of fish. The topography is gentle and flowing, with rounded rock formations and sheltered bays glowing with color. Clouds of anthias swirl above the reefs, sweetlips hover in formation, and wobbegong sharks sometimes rest beneath ledges. Macro enthusiasts can hunt for pygmy seahorses, ghost pipefish, and tiny crustaceans. It’s a warm, immersive start to the Triton Bay chapter.
Diving in Triton Bay Bommies, Bays & Biodiversity
The central Triton Bay area offers a rich mix of bommies, ridges, and calm bays. Sites like Little Komodo and David’s Rock pulse with life — fusiliers, surgeonfish, and snapper swirl around soft coral-covered structures, creating a sense of constant motion. The water often carries a soft plankton haze that gives everything a glowing, atmospheric quality. In the quieter bays, divers slow down to explore macro habitats filled with shrimp gobies, juvenile fish, and unusual critters tucked into rubble and soft corals. This day blends big picture beauty with intimate detail.
Diving in Dramai: Pinnacles, Current Energy & Schooling Fish
Dramai shifts the mood toward dramatic underwater scenery. Steep pinnacles rise from deep water, wrapped in soft corals, sponges, and whip corals that thrive in the steady flow. These nutrient-rich currents attract life in motion: trevallies hunting fusiliers, barracuda cruising in loose spirals, and dense schools of fish moving like a single organism. The topography is bold and sculptural — ridges, channels, and boulder formations that create natural amphitheatres for fish action. Between the high-energy dives, sheltered sites offer calmer macro-opportunities.

Day 7 — Whale Sharks at the Bagans (2 dives)
At first light, the vessel approaches the traditional fishing platforms known as bagans, where whale sharks gather beneath the nets to feed on small fish. The water is typically calm and shallow, allowing long, relaxed encounters with these gentle giants. Their slow, graceful movements and curiosity create unforgettable moments — sometimes multiple sharks circling the bagan at once. After the main sessions, the surrounding reefs offer easy, shallow dives filled with soft corals and reef fish. It’s a magical, big animal highlight to close the diving portion of the trip.

Day 8 — Return to Kaimana & Departure
Enjoy a final breakfast on board as the vessel cruises into Kaimana Bay. Guests disembark mid-morning for transfers to the airport or hotel. The crew waves farewell after an unforgettable week of waterfalls, whale sharks, and some of Indonesia’s most colourful reefs.

Steep walls, turtles, schooling fusiliers, and vibrant reef life
Hammerhead sharks may be spotted in deeper water
Coral formations are dramatic, with large sponges and sea fans
DAY 1: AMBON – LAHA (1 Dive)
We will pick you up from the airport or your hotel and welcome you aboard with refreshments. After the safety and boat briefings, you’ll have time to settle into your cabin and enjoy lunch. In the afternoon, we begin with an extended dive briefing followed by our first dive in Laha.
Diving in Ambon – Laha:
Ambon Bay is world famous for muck diving, offering black sand slopes and rubble habitats packed with rare macro life. Rhinopias, frogfish, ghost pipefish, flamboyant cuttlefish, harlequin shrimp, and countless nudibranchs are commonly seen. Visibility varies, but biodiversity is exceptional.
After dinner, we begin motoring toward our next destination.

DAY 2: NUSA LAUT (3 Dives)
Today we explore the pristine reefs and walls of Nusa Laut.
Diving in Nusa Laut:
This area is known for some of the healthiest hard coral gardens in Indonesia, protected for decades by the local community. Expect excellent visibility, steep walls, turtles, schooling fusiliers, and vibrant reef life. During the right season, hammerhead sharks may be spotted in deeper water. Currents are generally manageable, making for relaxed yet exciting dives.
We depart for our next location before sunset.

DAY 3: PULAU SUANGGI & BANDA NEIRA (3 Dives + Shore Excursion)
We arrive at Pulau Suanggi in the morning for two exhilarating dives.
Diving at Pulau Suanggi:
Suanggi’s exposed pinnacles rise from deep blue water, attracting pelagic species such as tuna, barracuda, and seasonal hammerhead sharks. The coral formations are dramatic, with large sponges and sea fans. Currents can be strong, so this site is best suited for experienced divers.
After lunch, we head to Banda Neira for a shore excursion to Fort Belgica, the museum, and a nutmeg plantation—remnants of the islands’ pivotal role in the historic spice trade.
We finish the day with a late afternoon dive to search for the elusive Mandarin Fish during their dusk mating ritual.

DAY 4: BANDA ARCHIPELAGO – BESAR / RUN / HATTA (3 Dives)
We spend the day exploring several sites around the Banda Islands.
Diving in the Banda Archipelago:
The Banda Islands offer exceptional visibility, dramatic drop offs, and flourishing coral ecosystems. These deep water islands attract pelagic life including mobula rays, tuna, and seasonal hammerheads. Expect a mix of hard coral plateaus, steep walls, and vibrant soft corals. Swirling anthias, reef sharks, turtles, and large schools of fish make this region one of Indonesia’s most underrated diving treasures.
We begin motoring toward Koon after the final dive.

DAY 5: KOON (2 Dives)
Today we dive the legendary reefs of Koon.
Diving in Koon:
Koon is home to the famous site “Too Many Fish,” named for its astonishing biomass. Nutrient rich currents funnel through the channel, attracting huge schools of snapper, fusiliers, surgeonfish, and trevallies. Reef sharks patrol the edges, and large groupers rest on the sandy bottom. Coral cover is excellent, with both hard and soft corals thriving. Currents can be strong, so dives are carefully timed.
After the dives, we begin the long crossing to Momon in Papua.

DAY 6: MOMON (2 Dives + Waterfall Visit)
We enjoy two relaxed morning dives before visiting the beautiful Momon waterfall.
Diving in Momon:
Momon offers a slower pace with colourful reefs, gentle slopes, and bommies teeming with reef fish. Macro life is present, and visibility is generally good. This is a refreshing change of tempo before the rich biodiversity of Triton Bay.

DAY 7: TRITON BAY & AIDUMA ISLAND (4 Dives)
We arrive in Triton Bay, one of Indonesia’s most biodiverse marine regions.
Diving in Triton Bay:
Often called the “soft coral capital of the world,” Triton Bay features lush reefs covered in soft corals, black coral bushes, and enormous sea fans. Fish life is dense, with clouds of anthias, fusiliers, and baitfish swirling around the bommies. Whale sharks, dolphins, and mobula rays are occasionally seen. Macro enthusiasts will enjoy pygmy seahorses, nudibranchs, and rare critters. Visibility can be lower due to nutrient rich water, but this fuels the region’s extraordinary biodiversity.

DAY 8: TRITON BAY AREA (4 Dives)
A second full day allows us to explore more of Triton Bay’s diverse sites.
Diving Highlights:
Expect a mix of soft coral pinnacles, sheltered bays with macro life, dramatic underwater boulders, overhangs, and swim throughs. Many species here are endemic or rarely seen elsewhere. This is one of Indonesia’s most untouched and unique diving environments.

DAY 9: BAGAN & WHALE SHARKS (2 Dives + Cultural Visit)
In the morning, we dive beneath a traditional fishing platform (Bagan) to encounter whale sharks.
Diving with Whale Sharks:
The whale sharks of Kaimana often gather beneath bagans to feed on small fish escaping the nets. Encounters are typically calm and unhurried, offering excellent photographic opportunities. Depths are shallow and dives are relaxed, making this one of the most reliable places in Indonesia for respectful, close interactions with these gentle giants.
In the afternoon, we visit the prehistoric rock paintings—an extraordinary glimpse into ancient Papuan culture.
We spend the night in Kaimana Harbour.

DAY 10: KAIMANA – DISEMBARKATION
After breakfast, we will transfer you to the airport or your hotel according to your schedule.
