Itineraries
Itineraries go to Cocos Island. This extraordinary destination is represented only by 20 dive sites, but it doesn't mean that diving here is poor. You can dive on vertical walls, blue water, deep pinnacles over 40m depth. Currents attract a big number of pelagic animals. Also, hammerheads can be often seen on Cocos. It is the main attraction of this area. Whitetip reef sharks and Galapagos, silky, tiger, blacktip, silvertip, and guitar sharks sometimes can be spotted here. Dirty Rock is one of the spots that will be visited during the safari. This dive site is suitable for less experienced divers. Another famous Costa Rican dive site that can be included in the safari trip is
Bajo Alcyone. This spot is good for observing hammerhead too. Also, manta rays are often on this site.

When to go
Cocos Island is situated on the equator, so there are two particular seasons for diving here. The dry season lasts From December to May. Sea is calmer at this time of the year. Rain the season can be considered as the high season for diving on Cocos. Usually, it's the best time to dive with hammerhead sharks

Diving. Cocos
Excellent diving in late July, despite almost non stop rain and constant grey sky. Whale sharks, tigers and hammerhead on just about every dive. But, it takes 1.5 days navigation to get from Puntarenas to Cocos Island, the boat is small with not much spare spaces and very small cabins. It is run the American way, eg with the aircon always on and always feeling cold, even when asking the staff to adjust it. The chef is doing great on the presentation of the dishes, but it is mostly American cuisine with average quality

Okeanos Aggressor II, May 28-June 7 2022
Wonderful trip, shark week and manta rays plus many other creatures. Crew is fantastic, chef’s meals are superb! We had illness on board, which crew handled professionally in my opinion and did everything possible to accommodate passengers. Aggressor provided testing, hotel (hotel personal were wonderful, very nice & clean accommodations), meals and transportation to airport due to returning 1-day early for everyone’s safety, I wish to thank them all.

Small cabins but very large hearts and top quality service
A great 10 day trip with Capt Carlos and his team. Although the cabin size was amongst the smallest I have experienced, the crew, food and overall experience was superb, which meant the cabins became a minor inconvenience.
