Liveaboard cruises offering dives at the Wafer Bay

All about Wafer Bay dive site

Wafer Bay is one of Cocos Island’s sheltered areas, used as part of the island’s remote liveaboard setting rather than a typical coastal resort dive. It has a more protected feel than the exposed seamounts, with volcanic scenery and island backdrop shaping the experience.

What to see

Reef fish, whitetip reef sharks, rays, turtles, jacks, and volcanic rock life may be seen. Larger pelagics are more likely around the island’s exposed sites, but can pass through nearby waters.

When To Go Diving

Cocos is diveable year-round, with December to May often clearer and June to November often stronger for pelagic encounters. Water can range from warm surface layers to cooler thermoclines.
