Dirty Rock is one of Cocos Island’s most celebrated dive sites, known for cleaning stations and blue-water shark action. The site’s rugged rock structure gathers marine life in a way that makes the dive feel alive from the descent.

What to see
Schooling hammerheads, Galapagos sharks, eagle rays, green turtles, jacks, tuna, and reef fish may be seen. Cleaner stations are one of the site’s key features.
When To Go Diving
Water temperature
June to November is often strong for pelagic activity, while December to May may bring calmer crossings and clearer visibility. Water ranges widely, from warm surface layers around 26–29°C to cooler thermoclines at depth.
