La Punta, or The Point, suggests a Costa Rican Pacific point dive where current wraps around rock and concentrates fish life. It is likely more dynamic than a sheltered reef, with open-water movement and rocky structure setting the tone.
What to see
Jacks, snappers, grunts, barracuda, rays, turtles, moray eels, and schooling fish may be seen. Current may bring larger predators along the point.
When To Go Diving
December to May is usually best for coastal sites, while offshore point dives may also benefit from seasonal plankton and current. Water is generally around 26–29°C, with cooler thermoclines possible.
