Routes from central atolls to remote southern Maldives
Adora is a 37-metre, three-deck fibre liveaboard designed for diving cruises across the Maldives. The vessel accommodates up to 21 guests in 11 air-conditioned cabins.
Boat Interior
The fully air-conditioned interior includes a lounge and TV area, giving guests a comfortable place to relax between dives and after meals. Outdoor space includes a sun deck for quiet time in the open air.
Buffet meals are served onboard, with vegetarian options and separate dishes available for dietary requirements. Drinking water, tea, and coffee are provided, and alcoholic beverages are available.
Cabin Types
Adora offers three cabin categories across the lower, middle, and upper decks. All cabins are en-suite and include air conditioning, a minibar, flat-screen TV, safety box, hairdryer, toiletries, towels, and bidet.
Standard Cabin
Six Standard cabins are located on the lower deck. Four rooms have one double bed and one twin bed, while two rooms have two twin beds.
Superior Cabin
The Superior cabin is located on the middle deck and accommodates one guest in a double bed.
Ocean View
Four Ocean View cabins are located on the upper deck. Each cabin has one double bed, one twin bed, and a balcony.
Dive Deck
Diving is supported by a separate dhoni, keeping dive operations away from the main guest areas. The vessel has a spacious dive deck, an equipment charging station, 12-litre tanks, and 15-litre aluminium tanks available for rent.
Nitrox is available free of charge and supported by an EnOxy membrane system. The boat is equipped with two Bauer M320E compressors. Rental equipment includes BCDs, regulators, fins, masks, snorkels, SMBs, wetsuits, dive computers, underwater torches, and tanks. PADI courses can also be arranged onboard.
Safety and Navigation
Safety equipment includes fire alarms, fire extinguishers, life jackets, life rafts, emergency oxygen, first-aid kits, an AED, an emergency positioning radio beacon, and a satellite phone.
Three certified dive guides are normally onboard, with a general ratio of one guide for every six divers. Dive computers are mandatory, and recreational dives are limited to a maximum depth of 30 metres. Advanced Open Water certification or an equivalent level is recommended, together with at least 30 logged dives. Routes may be adjusted depending on weather and ocean current conditions.
Non-diving Activities
Non-divers can join the cruise and take part in snorkelling or an introduction to scuba diving. Time away from diving may include island hopping, sandbank visits, island visits, island barbecues, and a picnic on an uninhabited island. Children are welcome onboard, while the minimum age for boat diving is 10 years.
Itineraries
Adora offers a varied programme of Maldives diving itineraries, from classic central-atoll routes to northern and southern expeditions. Seven-night Best of Maldives trips combine North Malé, South Malé, Vaavu, South Ari, and North Ari, while Best of Ari focuses on North Malé, North Ari, and South Ari.
Longer routes extend the range north toward Lhaviyani, Baa, Raa, Noonu, Shaviyani, and Haa Dhaalu, or south through Meemu, Thaa, Laamu, the Gaafu atolls, Fuvahmulah, and Addu. A five-night Learn to Dive itinerary operates around North Malé, and customized dive itineraries are available for private charters and group bookings. Guests can usually expect up to three dives per day, depending on the itinerary and conditions.
When to Go
Diving is available throughout the year. November to April generally brings drier weather and clearer conditions, while wetter periods can occur from May onward, often followed by sunshine. Water temperatures remain around 26°C to 29°C throughout the year

Fantastic diving experience in a great boat with an excellent crew and abundant sea life.
The ship is modern and spacious and comfortable. The cabin and bathroom are also very spacious and bright, and the cleanliness was perfect. The air conditioning works well and is quiet.
The main room for the meals and briefings is big ang comfortable with nice furniture made of solid wood. The food is varied and very good altogether, somtimes somewhat spicy though. You can drink unlimited tea and instant coffee throughout the day, with some snacks, cookies or small bananas.
The sun deck has fortunately also a good part of shade.
The main aspect to praise though is the profesional and attentive attitude of the entre crew, around 15 people counting both Adora and dohni or dive boat.
The tour follows the regular itinerary on the central atolls visiting the best dive spots, with a diversity of walls, channels,, pinnacles and reef hooked dives.
This January we have been inmensely lucky to encounter a lot of pelagic marine life, including lots of mantas, 6 whale sharks ,eagle rays and even long finned pilot whales.
The divemasters, Maazin and Akki were very professional and did their best to find the real hotspots of marine life.
The evening beach barbecue and party was unforgettable and fun, with beach volley, and lots of good music and dancing.
Altogether, has been my best liveaboard ever, the 10th, and I will no doubt repeat next year.

Brilliant Trip, Amazing Staff
Just returned from an 8 day trip on Adora. Absolutely amazing. The (all local) staff go above and beyond to ensure you have a great time. Service was brilliant. Special shout out to the dive boat (dhoni) assistants who made the diving extremely streamlined and are very helpful pre and post dive with tanks, wetsuits etc. all organized for you.
Couple of things I wish I knew beforehand (that you may find helpful):
1) despite the boat offering free WIFI, the router depends on a dongle which relies completely on cell service (and proximately) from cell towers - proving very unreliable. If staying connected is important to you, buy a SIM at the airport and use that. The packages are very reasonable. I purchased an e-SIM (ooredoo) during the trip which, despite being reasonably tech savvy (and 34yrs young), I failed to get connected to mobile data.
2) the coffee included is instant and the milk UHT. There is a Nespresso capsule machine onboard, so if you're an espresso and/or a non dairy person, take pods and milk with you.
3) the PCR tests (if required) are done on day 6 (Sat) back in Male harbor in the evening and results are received the next morning (roughly 12 hours later).
