Scubaspa Yang Liveaboard, Maldives
Scubaspa Yang is a 50-metre liveaboard in the Maldives accommodating up to 36 guests across 17 suites. Built as a sister vessel to Scubaspa Yin, the boat combines scuba diving itineraries with an onboard spa and wellness programme.
Boat Interior
The al fresco restaurant serves three buffet-style meals daily with live cooking stations. Internationally trained chefs combine European and Mediterranean cuisine with local Maldivian flavours, ranging from the local catch of the day, lamb, beef, and Asian specialties to flaming crêpes Suzette, sizzling tapas, and an authentic sushi bar. Fresh lobster is available at an additional cost. A carefully curated selection of wines and Champagnes complements each meal.
The bar sits adjacent to the restaurant, opening onto a shaded lounge deck with access to the bathing platform. Cocktails, branded beers, spirits, cordials, and liquors are available, with a daily happy hour in the afternoon. A moonlit beach BBQ on a desert island is included in the weekly programme. For birthdays, anniversaries, or other special occasions, the chefs can arrange private deck dinners with an à la carte menu.
Guests can spend time on the sun decks with loungers or in the shaded outdoor lounge areas. An open-air cinema on the spa deck is available in the evenings. A no-shoes policy applies throughout the vessel.
Cabin Types
All 17 suites include an en-suite bathroom with shower, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, premium bath products, deluxe linens, cosy wood furniture, comfortable mattresses, multiple electrical outlets, and ample lighting.
Manta Suite
Five suites on the main deck offer some of the most spacious accommodation onboard. Four have king-size beds with twin options, and one has a queen-size bed. All feature seating areas and large oval panoramic windows set into the hull, framing uninterrupted views of the ocean.
Dolphin Suite
Three suites on the main deck, each with a queen-size bed and seating area. Vibrant blue fabrics and nature-inspired tones set the mood, with oval panoramic windows looking out to the sea.
Cowrie Suite
One suite in the bow of the lower deck, spanning the full width of the vessel. It features a queen-size bed and a ruby-coloured sofa that converts into a second bed, four opening portholes, and the largest shower onboard.
Sea Star Suite
Eight suites on the lower deck, each with a queen-size bed. Driftwood accents and jewel tones create a warm atmosphere, with two opening portlights in each suite.
Dive Deck
A dedicated 20-metre dive dhoni accompanies the vessel and carries tanks, rental equipment, and two Bauer PE 250 Mariner compressors rated at 250 l/min. The dhoni includes multiple entry points, a stern platform, and onboard bathroom facilities. Nitrox is available at an additional charge, and DIN adaptors are provided onboard. The dive guide ratio is 1:6.
Safety and Navigation
Navigation systems include a Raymarine Quantum marine radar, VHF marine radio, satellite phone, and EPIRB. Safety equipment onboard includes smoke and heat detectors, fire hoses, extinguishers, fire blankets, marked escape routes, distress flares and strobe lights, life jackets, safety buoys, life rafts, an AED defibrillator, oxygen, and first aid kits.
A dive computer is mandatory for all dives. The maximum permitted depth is 30 metres, and decompression diving is not allowed. Night dives and dives deeper than 18 metres are limited to advanced-certified divers. Guests must present a valid certification card and logbook before diving. A self-declaration form is required, and a medical certificate may be requested for guests with pre-existing conditions. Certification upgrades are available onboard. The Deep South itinerary requires advanced certification and a minimum of 100 logged dives.
SPA Onboard
Non-divers and snorkellers can take part in snorkelling sessions, beach visits, and sandbank excursions during the trip. The weekly programme also includes island visits, sunset beach gatherings, and beach BBQ evenings. Daily yoga sessions are held on the outdoor deck.
The onboard spa extends across two decks and covers 300 square metres. Facilities include four treatment rooms, a shaded spa lounge, and an outdoor Thai Pavilion. More than 14 treatments are offered, drawing from Asian, Ayurvedic, and European traditions. Organic products are used throughout and are also available in the onboard boutique.
Itineraries
Scubaspa Yang operates across three itinerary regions in the Maldives.
The Central Atolls route, known as Best of Maldives, runs year-round in both 4-night and 7-night formats and is suitable for divers of all experience levels. Diving includes channels, drift dives, pinnacles, walls, wrecks, and night dives throughout North and South Male Atoll, Ari Atoll, and Vaavu Atoll.
The Far North itinerary operates between July and October, with regular departures in September. Cruises include visits to Hanifaru Bay in Baa Atoll during the manta ray aggregation season.
The Deep South itinerary runs from late January to early May, with regular departures in February and March, and is also available on private charter outside that period. This route is intended for experienced divers holding advanced certification and at least 100 logged dives. Dive sites are exposed to strong currents and are associated with hammerheads, bull sharks, silky sharks, grey reef sharks, and silvertips. Selected departures include a stop at Fuvahmulah. Additional domestic flights are required for this route.

When to Go
Diving takes place year-round in the Maldives. The northeast monsoon from November to May generally brings calmer seas and clearer conditions, while the southwest monsoon from June to October is typically quieter. Water temperatures remain between 26°C and 29°C throughout the year.

Your itinerary is up to you. You can pack it full of exhilarating active leisure, using this solo time to push your personal boundaries and explore the ocean like never before. If you choose the diving package, you'll enjoy three daily dives in the world-renowned Maldivian coral reefs, immersing yourself in some of the most breathtakingly vibrant hidden corners of the ocean. Additionally, we can't let you stay with us without trying our spa! That's why we have added a special spa treatment to your scuba package.
Alternatively, you can spend your time realigning and rejuvenating with our spa package, which includes eight treatments. Our 300sq meter Asian-style spa is the largest of its kind in the Maldives, making it the perfect place to decompress and unwind. From open-air Thai massages to sunrise yoga, it's the ideal location to awaken your senses and reconnect with yourself. If you haven't tried it before, you'll also have the chance to try scuba diving with your included PADI Discover Scuba Diving experience.

Program
Day 1:
Meet & greet at the airport. Group transfer to the port. Onboarding, meeting the crew & briefing.
Days 2-6:
Departing & check dive. Safari according to the planned route.
Day 7:
2 dives on the last day. Return to the port.
Day 8:
Check-out from the yacht, group transfer to the airport.
Routes can be affected by adverse weather conditions and unforeseen events, force majeure or other similar reasons (Note: that your booking can be moved on the sistership boat)
