Formerly Saman Explorer - stell liveaboard operates in Oman. With the luck, humpback whales can be seen. The destination is known for a great variety of inhabitants from macro to large pelagics and untouched reefs.

Boat interior and exterior
The liveaboard can accommodate up to 22 passengers in 11 well-equipped cabins. 6 of them are located on the lower deck. These staterooms have twin beds and suits for sharing. The other 4 twin bed cabins are on the upper deck. 1 Master cabin with a double bed is placed on the main deck. Each cabin has air conditioning, lamps, charging stations, and a private a bathroom with rainforest showerhead.
A perfect open-air area with chairs and a spacious salon provides comfort to boat guests after diving.

Dive deck
The boat has 2 compressors - 1 for air and 1 for nitrox. 12l tanks are provided free of charge, 15l can be rented on request. DIN and INT adaptors are available.

Safety
This liveaboard is equipped with a first aid kit, oxygen, defibrillator, fire extinguishers, life jackets, life rafts.

Itineraries
Best of Daymaniat and Hallaniyat Islands - are 2 main boat itineraries. Large groupers, leopard sharks, stingrays, barracudas, turtles can be seen. Divers can even meet humpback whales and whale sharks. Oman is known for untouched colorful corals. Also, the macro life of Oman is amazing with various nudibranchs, sea horses, and shrimps.
There are dive sites for beginners and advanced divers, but it's recommended to have at least 50 logged dives.

When to go
Diving in Oman is possible all year round. Water temperature in Daymaniat varies from 30C in a timeframe from May to October to 23C in February. Hallaniyat islands offer 27-29C from April to June and in October, November. January and February are colder - about 24-25C

Easy diving far from crowds on dive sites
This was my second liveaboard on this boat - this time south of Oman. Standard of the boat and service remains high with good facilities and decent food. The only problem remains same: big dive groups (10 people), but with experienced divers it is somehow less problematic. Great place for divers who like easy dive conditions: no currents, shallow dives (average about 20m) and calm sea.

No need for a return trip
I would not dive with them again. The guiding was not very good, I had to show him things I had found before. We never traded guides, so I cannot comment on the other guide who was also the cruise director. There was no guide at night at all which also was nonstandard. The food and cabin were quite fine, but the diving was lacking.

Great marine life in Oman
I had a great time diving in Oman. Quite surprising, the marine life is some of the best I have seen for quite a while, lots of fish and healthy corals. The boat and the crew are excellent. The water can be chilly due to thermals, you need a 5 mm suite.
