All about Daymaniyat Islands dive site

Daymaniyat Islands are Oman’s best-known northern dive area, with protected island reefs, coral gardens, rocky walls, and warm Gulf of Oman water. The sites have a rich, slightly wild character, where reef fish, turtles, rays, and seasonal whale sharks can all form part of the experience.

What to see

Green turtles, hawksbill turtles, leopard sharks, rays, moray eels, honeycomb morays, reef fish, snappers, fusiliers, batfish, hard corals, soft corals, and seasonal whale sharks may be seen.

When To Go Diving

Diving is possible year-round, with April–May and September–October often offering a good balance of visibility, warmth, and sea conditions. Water is usually around 23–30°C, with visibility often 5–25 metres and sometimes better in settled periods.
