Liveaboard cruises offering dives at the Hallaniyat Islands

All about Hallaniyat Islands dive site

Hallaniyat Islands, off southern Oman, feel remote and expedition-like, with island reefs, kelp-like seasonal growth, rocky walls, and cooler nutrient-rich water at times. The area is less polished than Muscat diving and can feel wild, spacious, and marine-life rich.

What to see

Turtles, rays, moray eels, reef fish, groupers, snappers, jacks, soft corals, hard corals, dolphins in the wider area, and occasional whale sharks or manta rays may be seen.

When To Go Diving

Hallaniyat conditions are more seasonal, with many trips running in calmer windows outside the roughest monsoon influence. Water can range widely, often around 22–29°C depending on season, with visibility changing from plankton-rich to clear.
