All about Fahal Island dive site

Fahal Island, off Muscat, is one of the area’s classic dive locations, with rocky walls, coral slopes, and deeper blue-water edges around the island. It has a stronger, more dramatic profile than many sheltered shore-style reefs.

What to see

Turtles, rays, moray eels, batfish, snappers, fusiliers, reef fish, hard corals, soft corals, and occasional leopard sharks or whale sharks in the wider Muscat area may be seen.

When To Go Diving

Best conditions are often April–May and September–October, when the water is comfortable and visibility can improve. Water generally ranges from about 23–30°C, with visibility often 5–25 metres.
