Reviews about Family Cabins
Princess Dhonkamana, MaldivesMacana Maldives, 5 reviews Just spent a week on this boat and it's a wonderful trip. At first it's a little bit boring and not much to see except sharks until we spotted groups of eagle rays and tiger sharks. The boat is a bit old but well maintained, the room is spacious enough, and it's clean and tidy. Their tanks are steel so you don't need lots of weights. The manager is an energetic Italian lady who worked in Maldives for over 20 years so she knows every spot. The food is delicious especially the pasta. There are two downsides too. 1. The air conditioner in my room is noisy. 2. The checkout time is 7am and you need to hang out in Male for a long time unless your flight is early.Read moreEmperor Serenity, MaldivesEmperor Fleet, 6 reviews Amazing stay
Brilliant trip. Boat is brand new, so everything is lovely. Only downer was the lower cabins have 1 double and 1 single bed - bit awkward when sharing with a stranger! Not sure why they don’t just have 2 singles. But minor point, crew and diving are exceptional. Wouldn’t hesitate to returnRocio del Mar, MexicoMexico Liveaboards, 297 reviews Unforgettable diving with sea lions!
The Sea of Cortez diving with sea lions was the highlight of the cruise, together with the surprise encounter with schooling hammerheads. But the boat’s cabins are small with little storage areas. The salon also needs to be refurbished. The chef cooked us some great meals!Questions and Answers
What facilities can be offered for families by liveaboards?
Liveaboards understands the importance of family-friendly accommodations and offers a range of facilities to ensure a comfortable stay for both adults and children. Here's how some liveaboards cater to families:
Tiaré Cruise: Their triple cabins are equipped with three single beds, two of which can be converted into a double bed, making these cabins ideal for families with one child or a trio of friends.
Pearl 111: Offers triple cabins that feature one double bed and an additional single bed for a child, ensuring families can stay together comfortably.
Majik: The Master Deluxe Cabin on this liveaboard includes a sofa that can be transformed into an extra bed, perfect for accommodating a child.
Princess Ulua: The Family Cabin is designed with both a queen-size bed and a single bed, offering ample space for a small family.
Infinity X: Their Deluxe Double Suites are the most spacious on the ship, with 1 double bed plus 1 single bed. These suites are versatile, perfect for families, couples, or friends.
Reef Endeavour: The Porthole Cabin is tailored for family use, with two lower single beds and two upper single beds bunk-style.
Aurora: Some Double Cabins on this vessel feature a king-size bed with an additional small sofa that's just right for a child.
Nataraja: The Standard Cabin includes a double bed and a third single bed, which is perfect for accommodating a kid.
Teman: Their cabins come with a double and a single bed, hosting up to three persons, which can be a snug fit for small families or a group including a child.
Discovery Palawan: The Family Cabins come with centralized air conditioning and offer two single beds plus one elevated double bed, catering well to two adults and two children.
Ondina: Their triple cabins are usually for two guests but can accommodate couples with children or groups of three, with at least one non-diver
Why Choose a Family-Friendly Liveaboard Trip?
Foster a Passion for Marine Discovery: Ignite a love for the ocean in your children. Many liveaboards provide snorkeling and swimming activities, perfect for non-diving family members, ensuring no one misses out on the fun.
Unplug and Reconnect: Swap screen time for sea time. Liveaboard trips offer a rare break from the digital world, promoting quality family interactions amidst nature's splendor. The internet can often be slow or sometimes unavailable due to the vessel's distance from the shore.
Capture and Share Unique Moments: From underwater selfies with tropical fish to breathtaking sunsets over the open sea, the photo opportunities on a liveaboard trip are unparalleled, waiting to fill your albums and social feeds with unique memories. We're confident that your family photos will stand out in uniqueness compared to those of your friends!
Tips for a Smooth Liveaboard Experience with Kids:
Active Parental Supervision: While liveaboards are welcoming to families, parents should anticipate being the primary caregivers for their children, as dedicated childcare staff may not be available.
Diving Age Restrictions: Confirm in advance if the liveaboard accommodates young divers, especially if they are certified and keen to dive.
Early Planning is Key: Aim to book your family dive trip early, especially during school holiday periods, to ensure you secure the best liveaboard and itinerary for your family.
Embracing a liveaboard holiday doesn't mean sacrificing fun for family time. It's about enriching experiences, from exploring vibrant coral reefs to enjoying topside activities like beach visits, kayaking, and more. Many destinations are perfect for kids, offering safe, shallow waters and engaging cultural experiences. With liveaboard diving cruises, you don't just take a trip; you create a legacy of shared adventures and tales to tell for generations
