What famous sites are included in the program of Emperor Serenity liveaboard?

The Emperor Serenity liveaboard Maldives features a range of itineraries across central and northern atolls. The Best of Maldives program takes divers to Male, Ari, and Vaavu atolls, including channels, pinnacles, and cleaning stations. At Fish Head in North Ari, a marine protected site, divers often see grey reef sharks, turtles, fusiliers, and schools of snapper. At Alimatha in Vaavu Atoll, a night dive allows close encounters with nurse sharks, sometimes over three metres long. This itinerary mixes reef dives with larger pelagic encounters, with opportunities for drift diving through channels where currents attract marine life. Between July and October, the Hanifaru & North itineraries include Baa, Lhaviyani, and Raa atolls, with manta cleaning stations and snorkeling at Hanifaru Bay UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. The season offers higher chances of manta and whale shark sightings, sometimes with even more shark sightings at sites like Kuredu Express. Other highlights include Rasdhoo Atoll for reef sharks and North Male’s Lankan Manta Point. The boat spends time around local islands during longer routes, creating variety in the journey. Guests can relax between dives in the open air dining area or on the large sun deck while reviewing images at the camera station

How do I book an Emperor Serenity liveaboard cruise, and what’s the cancellation policy?

Booking an Emperor Serenity Maldives liveaboard is done online through the website. The vessel accommodates 26 guests across 13 en-suite cabins located on three decks, with options for double, twin, or same sex cabin sharing arrangements. The cancellation policy applies to the total booking value. Reservations cancelled 60 days or more before departure incur a 20% cancellation charge. If cancelled within 60 days, the fee rises to 100% of the booking. Travelers are advised to check the terms during the reservation process to review details before confirming their trip

What is included in the Best of Maldives Itinerary onboard Emperor Serenity?

This route spans Male, Ari, and Vaavu atolls. Pinnacles, channels, and cleaning stations form part of the dive plan, with encounters ranging from mantas to reef sharks and colorful macro species. At Fish Head in Ari Atoll, a protected pinnacle, marine life includes turtles, snapper, and patrolling reef sharks. The night dive at Alimatha is a memorable moment, with numerous nurse sharks in shallow waters. On some dives, whale sharks or hammerheads may also appear. Channels such as Kandus bring strong currents ideal for drift diving, attracting both pelagic fish and reef species. Between dives, the crew serves meals and afternoon light sandwich style snacks. Guests relax in shaded or sunny areas of the deck, or use the onboard camera facilities to prepare equipment. This flexibility ensures divers experience the Maldives’ best-known underwater sites in a comfortable setting

What will I see during Deep South Atolls of Maldives trips on Emperor Serenity?

The Deep South Atolls itineraries focus on remote regions such as Huvadhu, Fuvahmulah, and Addu. At Fuvahmulah, pelagic species like tiger, silky, and thresher sharks are common. Huvadhu, home to one of the largest lagoons in the Maldives, often produces encounters with whale sharks, hammerheads, and reef sharks. Drift diving through nutrient-rich channels such as Mareehaa enhances these sightings. Addu Atoll combines history and marine life, including manta cleaning stations and the HMS British Loyalty wreck. Divers also visit Demon Corner, a site well known for steady currents and shark action. Trips in this region often feature even more shark sightings compared to central itineraries. These southern expeditions are offered from December to March, aligning with currents that attract pelagic species. Routes may adjust according to sea conditions, ensuring safety and maintaining dive quality

What is the best time to dive in the Maldives with Emperor Serenity?

The Maldives offers year-round diving, but conditions vary by atoll. In the Central Atolls, the northeast monsoon from November to April brings calm seas and clear visibility, alongside manta and whale shark visits to cleaning stations. For the Deep South, the peak period is January to March. During this time, strong currents in channels attract pelagics such as tiger sharks, hammerheads, and oceanic mantas. These conditions also provide thrilling drift diving experiences. Each season offers something distinctive, whether it is manta aggregation in Baa Atoll, shark-filled channels in the south, or colorful reefs around the South Male Atolls. With itineraries covering multiple regions, divers can select routes based on preferred marine life and seasonal highlights

Amazing stay
Brilliant trip. Boat is brand new, so everything is lovely. Only downer was the lower cabins have 1 double and 1 single bed - bit awkward when sharing with a stranger! Not sure why they don’t just have 2 singles. But minor point, crew and diving are exceptional. Wouldn’t hesitate to return

Will select Emperor Serenity again
This was my and my girlfriend's first liveaboard experience and I couldn't have selected a better choice than Emperor Serenity. All staff members were very professional, all well behaved and safety first approach to things. Our guide through the dives was Catalina and she was very experienced, nice, energetic throughout the dives and understand everyone's need and limits. Over all great experience and we can't thank enough from all of the Emperor Serenity team for making our dream of diving in Maldives come true.

Good service
It was my 3rd time with Emperor fleet. I was with Explorer previously. My first time on Serenity. Cabin was similar to Explorer, not too bad, very spacious (main deck cabin). My friend used lower deck cabin, it was a bit humid during the trip (maybe because of rainy season). Service was good: good crew and food. Diving was good, but weather was quite rough, nothing they could do (try to avoid but did not succeed). They guides could be a bit more soft or nicer, I understand that diving in rough weather can be challenging, but not need to be military style. I felt sometime I was in military training also, my friend who is first time liveaboard trip she got bit scared at the beginning of trip Over all it was good trip different then i did before, challenge weather condition , bit long time to break the ice with guide, but i still enjoyed the Maldives ocean and diving. I will definitely come again. Thanks a lot for a good trip. Keep it up.
