Buena Vista

Buena Vista is an infinite hard coral slope along the southern barrier reef wall where divers will experience some of Yap’s clearest water over a healthy reef. There are diverse topography, rich hard coral and clear blue water with fish schools, sharks and more. The environment is an infinite sloping wall with deep cuts and canyons as well as sheer walls with interesting landscapes and life at every depth

What to see

It is one of the dive sites where cuttlefish and turtle encounters are the most frequent. Schools of fish, reef sharks as well as anemones can be expected. The southern walls of the outer reef are home to some of the most interesting encounters - large pelagic fish and sharks can be seen as well as exotic reef life such as mating cuttlefish, ghost pipe fish and schooling barracuda
