Wreck
Heian Maru is one of the largest wrecks in Truk Lagoon, a submarine tender lying on its side with a vast, imposing structure. It feels more like exploring a submerged shipscape than a single wreck feature.
What to see
Torpedoes, periscopes, holds, hull structure, soft corals, sponges, reef fish, jacks, lionfish, and large-scale wreck scenery may be seen.
When To Go Diving
Diveable year-round, with December to April usually bringing the most comfortable surface conditions. Its size and depth range make good buoyancy and wreck awareness important.
