All about Shark Island dive site
Shark Island adds a reef and marine-life contrast to Truk Lagoon’s wreck-heavy diving. It is best treated as a natural reef or island-edge site, where coral, current, and fish movement replace the enclosed feeling of wreck exploration.
What to see
Reef sharks may be seen, along with reef fish, jacks, barracuda, turtles, rays, hard corals, soft corals, sponges, and schooling fish.
When To Go Diving
Diveable year-round, with December to April often calmer and clearer. Water is generally around 27–30°C, with visibility often 15–30 metres.
