The Pacific Master is a 36-meter yacht providing divers with a professionally tailored package in which to enjoy the undisturbed marine life of the Solomon Islands liveaboard. The ship has been custom-built for diving trips with no detail overlooked, formerly known as Taka, it's had quite the history of exploring top-rated dive sites. Boasting onboard facilities tailored to divers' needs for comfort and convenience, it remains sailing these breathtaking waters to this day. It comfortably takes aboard up to 20 guests in a range of different cabin options, all designed with comfort in mind. Options include a premium en-suite double cabin, five premium en-suite double/twin cabins, four standard single cabins, and two twin cabins sharing bathrooms. Each cabin features individual climate control and storage space to make the cabin space relaxed for guests to unwind between dives. These cabin configurations in varying shapes and sizes accommodate solo travelers, couples, and groups that facilitate a friendly onboard atmosphere that is social.
Spacious dive deck with effortless access to the diving sites, equipped with personal stations, generous storage, and dedicated diving camera equipment rinse tanks. Dedicated camera tables and separate charging areas meet the needs of photographers; Nitrox is available for those bottom-time extending dives well worth it in the unique dive sites. Freshwater showers on deck add a touch of convenience after each dive to further enhance your experience. The vessel’s itineraries include renowned dive locations such as Florida Islands, Russell Islands, and Marovo Lagoon, showcasing the diverse marine life and vibrant coral gardens of the Solomon Islands.
The social areas on board include a comfortable lounge and dining area where passengers can relax, with fresh meals being prepared for them. Onboard chefs enjoy introducing buffets of local and international flavors. It was my second trip in the TAKA. It is a basic boat but it suits me. Cabin to myself. Showers and toilets that worked. The food had improved greatly since my first trip and we were well catered for. The staff are friendly and efficient. Unfortunately the diving on this trip was a little disappointing.
