Horizon II Liveaboard, Maldives

Horizon II is one of the members of Blue Horizon Fleet, that offers trips to South of Maldives.

Boat Interior

Horizon II is a small wooden boat that can welcome 12 passengers. Boat have four twin cabins with bunk style beds and two doubles. All cabins supplied with private showers and air conditioning. Double bed staterooms can accommodate up to three people, except a double bed, they equipped with upper twin bed.
To relax between dives and in the evenings Horizon II has several lounge zones, open air dining area with a gorgeous view on Maldives blue water and comfortable sun deck with shaded area.

Safety

Horizon II safety requires all standards. Boat equipped with fire retardants and pumps, life vests, first aid kit, etc.

Surfing

Not many boats can offer such an opportunity as surfing. Horizon II has this possibility. A trip on boat includes surfing on several Maldives atolls under a supervision of surf instructor. Beacons or Barracuda Point and Five Islands is points that passengers of Horizon II can visit during the trip.

Itinerary

One of the itineraries that Horizon II offers is Huvadhoo Atoll. This destination can be called as the best place to see sharks. Grey reef sharks, whitetip,hammerhead and silky sharks, all these amazing creatures can be seen here. Green sea turtles also can be often met here. Huvadhoo Atoll is a dive site in the Maldives known for its beautiful coral reef structures and abundant marine life. It has channels, drop-offs, and overhangs. Some interesting dive sites nearby are Nilandhoo Kandu, Maarehaa Kandu, and Vaadhoo Thila.

When to Go

Warm water temperatures allow diving at Southern Maldives atolls all year round. From June and July conditions can be rather tough for diving because of rain season. Time from December to May is a high season for South Maldives.
