Discovery Palawan is one of the most spacious liveaboards in the Philippines, offering special facilities for underwater photographers. Dive into history with the Japanese wrecks of WWII, explore the vibrant reefs of Tubbataha and Apo, and encounter megafauna such as thresher sharks, mantas, and whale sharks.

Boat Interior

The liveaboard features 20 cabins, 16 of which are equipped with air conditioning while the remaining 4 have climate control. Each cabin is ensuite. Staterooms are situated on both the lower and upper decks, with upper deck cabins boasting large portholes. The spacious salon offers cozy sofas for relaxing between dives, allowing passengers to chat, watch TV, or enjoy the serene surroundings. Meals are served in the open-air dining area, where guests can also spend evenings taking in the gorgeous views.

Dive Deck

Dive deck provides ample space for each diver on board. Equipment rental is available, so you don't need to bring your own gear. Certified EANx divers can enjoy the convenience of Nitrox on board, enhancing their diving experience.

Safety

Safety is a top priority on the boat. The boat is equipped with all necessary safety equipment, including a first aid kit and life vests, ensuring a secure and worry-free diving adventure.

Itinerary

The liveaboard offers itineraries that cover all the most famous diving destinations in the Philippines. During the Tubbataha Reef trip, divers will visit Delsan Wreck, known for its abundant eagle rays and shark sightings. Another notable dive site is Washing Machine, where divers can observe a plethora of colorful soft and hard corals, and frequently spot mantas and sharks. The Apo Reef cruise is equally exciting for both divers and non-diving companions, featuring activities such as visiting Kayangan Lake, enjoying the beach on Sangat, snorkeling, and kayaking. Divers will explore Apo Reef's macro and big pelagic sites, including encounters with stingrays, whitetip sharks, and hammerhead sharks. The trip may also include visits to three wrecks near Sangat Island and an exploration of Barracuda Lake.

When to Go

The best time to dive in the Philippines is from November to June when water temperatures are warm and visibility is highest. However, diving is possible year-round.

If you are seeking a new diving adventure amidst amazing coral reefs and encounters with large marine species, Discovery Palawan is the right choice. With a professional team, comfortable accommodations, and a friendly atmosphere, it promises a memorable and thrilling diving vacation

Mechanical breakdown, overhaul required.
The boat has mech problems: the generator broke down on the first night to Tubbataha and return to Puerto for repair, miss one day of dive. Then a ballast chamber problem caused the boat to tilt a little bit on one side for almost 3 days and can not be solved all the way to return. Besides these, everything is fine.

What a revelation these Liveabords
I had the best time ever, crew was absolutely TOP, not to mention what a blessing to have had such absolutely wonderful people to share the boat with. I fell in with everyone like real friends, loved the people I dived with, my Buddy, the guys who never stopped making me laugh, the whole organization and busy schedule I loved it all. And what an amazingly beautiful weather! Finally saw and filmed a reasonable sized shark! Not to forget the WW2 Japanese Wrecks, what an otherworldly athkosphere they had at the bottom of the ocean. Priceless. Thank you Duscovery Palawan for organizing such an utterly perfect trip, hands down to all of u the schedule the boat the plans the crew everything !!
