Navy Pier is a famous dive site close at Exmouth in Australia that is known as an aquarium without glass. This pier is an operating US navy base, but below it is an underwater photographer’s dream. Night dives are highly recommended.

What to see

Navy Pier features abundant marine life such as octopi, grouper, wobbegong sharks, sea snakes, reef sharks, and moray eels. Some interesting fish species include lionfish, stonefish, frogfish, scorpionfish, huge cod, and barracudas.

When To Go Diving

The best time to dive at Navy Pier is in the summer, when the average water temperature is 24-27C/75-81F. The visibility is at its best from September to November. It is only possible to dive during the window of slack tide.
